The story of Jelena is set to Serbia's capital Belgrad and it follows the life of an ordinary woman, who's not happy in love. She's married to Ratko and has two children Sasa and Lidija. Inspite of years that went by, Jelena never managed to forget Vuk, a love of her life she has been involved with in her youth. She was separated from Vuk under tragic and mysterious circumstances. After 3 decades in his wish to pursue justice, Vuk returns to his city bringing his daughter Helen with him. His attempt to clarify what happened and to prove the truth is sabotaged by Jelena's husband who keeps failing in business more and more. Even though he loves Jelena, he has a relationship with Sofija, the owner of a modeling agency. Nobody expects that the accidental encounter between Sasa and Helen will become fatal once they decided to start the life together.

Student from Belgrade is shooting amateur melodramatic movie about unfortunate love in Serbian village.

This film takes place in a small mining town in Serbia, within a time span covering the prewar, war, and postwar period. A story about tragic life of an illiterate woman from village, about her life with three men she loved. Her life, torn between dreams and reality, is a life of suffering, loneliness, disappointment, hope and love.

Director of this movie gave an advertisement in many Yugoslav papers calling everybody who wants to act in movie regardless of age, look or profession to reply. From 7000 arrived letters, about 30 heroes were picked up for the movie and its story was made based on what they wished to play.

He is captured and castrated, and the private lives of Milobjub and Nadira become part of the director's story in his film. He must answer to the financiers and producers who believe his film was to be a comedy. The events foreshadow a long and bloody conflict between two factions, a battle that has not abated in the ten years since this film's initial release.

A frustrated and unemployed architect experiences flashbacks of his youth and 1968 protests while the life passes by. Unable to adapt and to accept the reality, he’s constantly getting into conflicts with the people around him.

A well known theater and movie actor, dissatisfied with his conditions at home and at the theater suddenly stops the dress rehearsal of a play in which he has one of the main roles, and goes on the Danube to visit his friend, a boatman transporting bricks on his small barge from a brick plant in a poor settlement to Belgrade. Everybody sets out to the Danube in order to find out the real reason for the actor’s odd behavior and to find out when he will return to normal life. The actor refuses to talk, stating that he only knows what he does not want! The young director, who had started working on filming a portrait of the actor prior, doesn’t know what to do. The opening night is postponed.

At the beginning of the World War I, Filip, a Serbian school director in the Serbian province, has been asked to immediately go to Belgrade to get war schedule. His wife Lea, Slovene, with no one to leave because the two of them recently arrived in the small town and no one really knows them. Azem, an Albanian, school attendance, gives Filip a promise (Besa) to watch the Lea and that nothing will happen. Lea and Azem, are forced to live together in an abandoned school. Their relationship changes during the time.
