Privacy Policy

The short version
Midnight is a movie and TV discovery app. Your personal activity — your list, ratings, watch history, and recent searches — is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't build advertising profiles.
Data stored on your device
The following is kept in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device through Midnight:
- My List — titles you've saved to watch later
- Ratings — star ratings you've given titles
- Watch history — titles you've opened in the player, used for the Continue Watching and "Because You Watched" rails
- Search history — your recent searches, shown as suggestions
Because this data lives only in your browser, it won't follow you across devices, and you can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site.
Account data (optional)
You can use Midnight without an account. If you choose to log in, authentication is handled by the Wix platform, which hosts this site. In that case we can see the basic profile associated with your member account (such as your name, email, and profile photo) so we can greet you in the header. Wix may set cookies required for login sessions and site security; see the Wix Privacy Policy for details.
Third-party services
When you browse Midnight, your browser talks to these services:
- TMDB — poster and backdrop images are loaded directly from The Movie Database's image servers.
- AllYouCanWatch — title metadata (names, overviews, ratings) and video streams are provided by allyoucanwatch.net.
- YouTube — trailers on title pages are embedded YouTube players, which are subject to Google's privacy policy.
These services receive standard web request information (such as your IP address) when your browser loads their content. Midnight does not send them your list, ratings, or history.
Analytics and tracking
Midnight itself does not use analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
