Tales of the Bizarre: Spring Special aired on April 4, 1991.

"Tales of the Bizarre", in which familiar storyteller Tamori and a star-studded cast take us into a "strange world". This time, Tamori, the storyteller, will present five gems: Gorilla, The Terrifying Karaoke Singing Battle, Telepathic Love, Housewife Sachiko's Secret Pleasure and Merry Christmas 2040

A four-part anthology in the spirit of The Twilight Zone, this film starts off with a group of commuters stranded at a train station in the rain, listening to stories told by one of the group. These include tales of a group stranded in the mountains and haunted by guilt over a death they inadvertantly caused, an emotionally broken chessmaster pressed into playing a real-life game for an eccentric millionaire, a wandering medieval samurai who finds a modern-day cell phone on the ground and a person on the other end asking questions about the past, and a young couple who agree to try a computer simulation of what their future as husband and wife would be like.

Consisting of 5 stories: 1. Extra Synopsis: A man decides to go against a society whose every action and exchange of dialogue has already been prewritten in the screenplay of life. 2. 13-banme no Kyaku (Guest no. 13) Synopsis: A short-tempered man gets his hair cut at a strange barber shop only to find that he cannot leave before going through a certain process. 3. Black Room Synopsis: A son returns home from America to find his hometown shrouded in black and his parents behaving very strangely. 4. Boku wa Tabi o Suru (I'm Taking a Trip) Synopsis: A man’s older sister goes on a trip without realizing the terrifying truth. 5. Otona Juken (Adult Test) Synopsis: A young man must prove that he is truly an adult through a series of real life scenario tests.

***Replay A man sees his dead girlfriend through his digital camcorder. ***Inochibi (Life Force) A nurse is able to save dying patients with her 'life force'. ***Ame no Houmonsha (The Visitor in the Rain) A woman visits her sister on a rainy night to celebrate her birthday, but finds a stranger in her house who may be a murderer at large... ***Okusanya-san (The Wife Seller) A man stumbles upon a shop selling perfect wives. ***Imakiyo-san (Mr. Imakiyo) A student finds a spirit called Imakiyo in his apartment, and he has to obey three rules or suffer the consequences...

***Kyouko-san (Miss Kyouko) A young therapist at a hospital investigates when a spirit appears and kills people who say "Kyouko-san, Kyouko-san, please make me pretty" to the bathroom mirror. ***Buchou OL (Manager-OL) [office lady] An OL and her boss switch bodies. ***Kinou Kouen (Yesterday at the park) Domoto Koichi plays a man who loses his friend due to a freak accident. He then finds that through a time slip, he can return to the previous day and save his friend. ***Neko ga Ongaeshi (Cat Repays a Favor) Kashiwagi Emi (Uchiyama Rina) is unable to get over her grandmother's death. Her cat Kuro decides he will cure her loneliness. ***Kazoku Kaigi (Family Meeting) A family of three meet with a car accident, but strangely wake up in their home the next morning. They are then told that they have to sacrifice one of them so two may live.

***Sainou-dama A talentless young musician receives a spam email advertising "Talent Balls"--three lollipops which when eaten will awaken your hidden talents and turn you into a savant. However, what awakens within him turns out to be far from what he expects. ***Virtual Memory A women is understress at her job and goes to a store that offers her a machine that allows her to live other peoples memories. What happens when she starts selling hers? ***Funsadan Kyouiku A new teacher finds that her pay is based off her popularity with the students, so she starts to create problems for herself to solve. ***Gozen 2-ji no Chime A writer gets a call at his front gate every day at 2 am, but no one believes him. And then a murder happens and none of the cameras pick the criminal up. ***Kaisou Densha An old man revisiting memories on the subway.

Hosted by veteran comedian Tamori, "Bizarre Tales 2007 Fall Special" presents five tales. 1. Mirai Dousoukai - starring Ishihara Satomi. 2. Countdown - starring Abe Sadao. 3. Jihanki Otoko - starring Joshima Shigeru. 4. Gomi Onna - starring Matsushita Yuki. 5. 48% no Koi - starring Shiraishi Miho. Synopsis: A "trainee angel" named Natsumi works on Earth for an advertising company. In order for her to become a fully-fledged angel, Natsumi must facilitate the meeting of a man and a woman who are destined "by fate" to spend their lives together, and she has her sights on a man who works in the same building.

Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the series. In this work, we collaborate with five popular manga artists such as Go Nagai, Junji Ito, Eiichiro Oda, Kazuo Umezu and Masayuki Ishikawa.

"Box" Shuko Yoshino (played by Yuko Takeuchi), a researcher at a medical university, was suddenly hit in the head while working. When she woke up, she found herself locked in a sealed metal box. Ryota Murakami (played by Satoshi His Wife), a single office worker in "Glasses Bring Happiness", accidentally received a smart glasses. With the help of the glasses, he began to interact with the beautiful woman. Ayumu Miura (played by Mizuki Yamamoto); "Fierce House" Yukiko (Played by Miki Nakatani) Moved into a new house with her daughter Zhuli, but there seemed to be a terrible grudge living here; Hatsuno (played by Takashi Abe), the head of the financing department of "×", accidentally found a × on his forehead, but the people around him couldn't see it at all. But they have not been a happy for a long time and the scene when they eat breakfast as a family has changed into a savage one....

This special edition features four unique horror stories, each exploring mysterious and thought-provoking themes. Episode summaries: 1. "Melody in the Air" An office worker develops a condition where she must act in sync with the music playing in her mind to survive. 3. "The Delivery" A man discovers a mysterious app that delivers anything instantly, but its use leads to unforeseen consequences. 4. "Pretending to Make a Call" A woman fakes phone calls to avoid unwanted attention, only to find herself connected to her deceased father.

"Tales of the Bizarre: 2023 Summer Special" (世にも奇妙な物語 '23夏の特別編) aired on Fuji TV on June 17, 2023, featuring four mysterious tales: 1. "Princess Club" A housewife revisits a childhood club to relive her dreams, facing unexpected consequences. 2. "Kobayashi Family Wonderland" A family turns their home into a theme park, but their ambitious project spirals out of control. 3. "Gaze" A student discovers a new eye drop causes everyone to fixate on her, revealing an unsettling truth. 4. "Rainbow" A photographer captures a mysterious girl under a rainbow, unveiling a connection that transcends time.

"Tales of the Bizarre: 2023 Fall Special" (世にも奇妙な物語 '23秋の特別編) is a Japanese anthology drama that aired on Fuji TV on November 11, 2023. This special presents four unique, mysterious tales. Episode summaries: 1. "The Eternal Two" An assistant accused of murder alters reality with a mysterious button. 2. "False Accusation in Hell" A lawyer defends a deceased man in Hell, uncovering shocking truths. 3. "Transistor Compression Contest" A fierce competition to compress a magazine leads to unexpected rivalries. 4. "Set Your Life's Playlist in Advance" A life-caster builds an AI idol, unveiling secrets from her past.

"Tales of the Bizarre: 2024 Summer Special" (世にも奇妙な物語 '24夏の特別編) aired on Fuji TV on June 8, 2024, featuring four intriguing stories: 1. "The Mansion of Remembrance" A woman awakens in a mysterious mansion after an accident, encountering residents with fragmented memories. 2. "Tomobiki Village" A university student visits a secluded village for a friend's funeral, uncovering eerie traditions and hidden truths. 3. "Treasure of Humanity" An artist is recruited by a global organization to preserve cultural heritage, leading to unexpected revelations about his talent. 4. "Weekly Ex-Lover Creation" A woman assembles an android replica of her ex-boyfriend using a magazine kit, blurring the lines between reality and artificiality.

To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the popular omnibus drama "Tales of the Unusual," in which Tamori serves as the storyteller, "Tales of the Tales of the Unusual 35th Anniversary Special: Legendary Masterpieces One Night Only Revival Edition" will be broadcast on Fuji TV's "Saturday Premium" slot (Saturday 9pm) on May 31st. The program will feature five of Tamori's most famous works from the series' past. The programs that will be broadcast on the 31st are as follows: "BLACK ROOM" (broadcast in 2001, starring Takuya Kimura) "The Night Train Man" (broadcast in 2002, starring Ren Osugi) "Locker" (broadcast in 1990, starring Yuji Oda) "Bijokan" (broadcast in 2005, starring Satoshi Tsumabuki) "Memories of Love, Don't Stop" (broadcast in 2019, starring Yuki Saito)

35th-anniversary Fuji TV special featuring three new “Tales of the Unusual” shorts: Anata Hakubutsukan, Nanakai Tōsō, Tomaranakereba Ikirarenai Game, plus a one-night revival of the 1991 classic “Happy Birthday to My Home.”

The 2026 summer special of Fuji TV’s long-running anthology series presents four new strange tales. A veteran detective investigates a crime scene where evidence and bodies seem to vanish. A woman clearing her late mother’s apartment finds the past refusing to be thrown away. A young girl uses a mysterious costume to become an adult man. And a 26-year-old man discovers that his mother has been listed for auction online. Each story leads ordinary people into a surreal, unsettling world.

People tell lies with words through their cerebral neocortex. However, the moment before a person speaks, the mental reflexes of the limbic system will be apparent.

Rei is a college student in the midst of finding a job. She confesses her love to Mikio, a senior whom she admires. Mikio soon demands that she perform perverted acts.

In a small fishing village in northern Kanto, Nami stands at the edge of the dock, waiting for her husband’s boat to return. While waiting, Nami lives with her father-in-law, Gengoro, who uses her nightly as he pleases. One day, a man named Kaneda washes up at the port, in hiding after committing a heinous sex crime, and begins to work for a fisherman named Kunio. While Kaneda is doing his best to reform his life, all hell breaks loose when he crosses paths with Nami, and his natural urges kick back in.

Shino, who works at a real estate company, is having an affair with her older, married co-worker, Okumura. Wanting to save on hotel fees, Okumura suggests to Shino that they use a haunted property he is in charge of that has not been rented for many years as a hotel. Manami, a popular couple who stream videos about urban legends and ghost stories, senses that the property in question is the one that is the scariest haunted property that has only been rumored and that no one has ever successfully filmed, so she hides his identity and joins the real estate agency, but... Akira is a 30-year-old salaryman married to novelist Sonoko. After five years of marriage things between them have cooled and now they barely speak. One evening Akira is suddenly struck with an unbearable headache and, after being taken to the hospital, is told his illness is life-threatening. At the same time, a strange change starts to take over Akira’s body. The Akira who walks out of the operating theater has transformed into a woman!

Takato, an anime voice actor geek, borrows money from his father, Yusuke, to go to a fan event for the hit anime “Heavens Candy”. Shinya, who works at a boys’ bar run by Yusuke, is staying at Takato’s house, and he and Yusuke are secretly in love. Towa, a popular porn actor, goes to a fan event for “Heavens Candy” with his hair and makeup artist Satoshi, and then enters a coffee shop as an Anime pilgrimage. Takato is also in the coffee shop, and he and Towa see each other.

After learning Otoya's secret marriage, Junpei is torn, but Otoya offers a solution: move in together as roommates, navigating their complicated feelings.

Rinko inherits her parents’ public bath after they pass away. She starts to manage the business with the help of an old and experienced worker, Mr. Tame. However, she soon realizes traditional public bath are no longer marketable in this new century. Rinko thinks of a "Bikini Body Wash Service" to attract more customers.

Seventeen-year-old Misaki endures a life marred by tragedy and abuse. Abandoned by her mother and forced to care for her bedridden sister, her home life becomes a battlefield of psychological terror, dominated by a father whose actions cross into the realm of the unthinkable. At school, Misaki finds no solace as her closest friend succumbs to the allure of degradation for material gain. The culmination of her suffering arrives through a series of brutal assaults, each encounter dragging her further into a vortex of despair, with only a mentally ill homeless woman offering a semblance of maternal comfort.

Haruto is a freshman and a loner high school student until the arrival of the new teacher Aoyama. Aoyama cares for Haruto and starts to exchange letters with him, as something more grows inside both of them. But one night, an unexpected kiss ends their beautiful relationship. Three years later, Haruto has become a male prostitute in order to pay back his debts, when he reunites with Aoyama by chance. How will Haruto face his feelings for Aoyama when given a second chance? A female reporter is filming an investigation report about a missing porn actress in Japan. She hangs around in various video shops and interviews several people.

Michiru is a mysterious sex worker who visits a suburban motel once every year. In addition to her beautiful looks, she possesses a strange power: clients who have sex with her begin to perceive her as the woman they long for most. Masayuki visits a hot spring inn hidden deep in the mountains. He first visited the inn five years ago with his wife Yukari, who is no longer around. During Masayuki’s stay, the inn’s landlady, Tamami, makes him feel right at home — but then his former mistress Miyu pays him an unexpected visit… [Exists in two different versions (R18 and R15) with three diffferent titles.]

Yukiko, a member of a movie study group, follows the rumor of a ghost that inhabits an abandoned movie theater with two of her study group cohorts, Shinoda and Imamura, in order to film the ghost of an actress roams there. After she watch an old film, strange things begin to happen around her. When Shinoda goes missing, she goes back to the theater to find the truth of the place, despite her fear.

Two Japanese girls (one of them is a schoolgirl trained to be killer and another one is a lesbian) fighting with each other with incredibly bloody results.
