Eva, the Factory Girl

At the center of this social satire is the wealthy and bored couple Irene and Erik. When Erik meets Hilde, who comes from a humble background, one evening in a chic club, he sees an opportunity for the couple to sexually spice up their worn-out relationship and to escape through a ménage à trois.

A young country woman in Paris is temporarily drawn to her married, middle aged art teacher before she realizes she belongs instead with people her own age.

A middle-class, married woman, Mrs. Kessler, whose husband has been suicidal after losing his job, prostitutes herself once to get the family out of financial straits. The husband finds out about it and divorces her. When he threatens to take away her beloved son, she shoots him. He survives but she is prosecuted.

As his career starts to go downhill, he notices the mistakes he has made and tries to win Iris back.

Sappho genuinely falls in love with Richard, and decides to leave her vampy ways and her older lover behind her so that she can have him.
