After marrying Hofrat Geiger, Marianne moves to Vienna to be with her husband. She runs the household while her daughter attends the music academy. But Mariandl is heartbroken. She constantly catches her Peter in strange situations with other women. Marianne, on the other hand, constantly has to listen to the innuendo of Franzi, Geiger's long-time housekeeper, who would have loved to be a Hofrat herself. Frustrated, mother and daughter decide to leave Vienna and visit their grandfather. He has inherited a dilapidated farm in the Wachau region, where horses are kept, awaiting shipment to Italian slaughterhouses. Through two benefit concerts, the talented music student Mariandl is able to raise enough money to buy the horses' freedom.

Czechoslovakian opera star Jarmila Novotná plays the title role in the Austrian tunefest "Frasquita". Based on a Franz Lehár operetta, the story is the usual frothy nonsense. Dolly (Charlott Daudert) is engaged to marry Harald (Hans Heinz-Bollmann), but she's really in love with Hippolit (Heinz Rühmann). Harald is likewise enamored of another, namely Frasquita (Jarmila Novotná).

Karl Geschwandtner, a porter in a large hotel, has only one wish: one day, he'd like to be the lord and master, as the saying goes: to be the porter and 'ruler' in the hotel. And luck helps him to temporarily fulfill his dream. But Karl doesn't just take over running the hotel, he feels the need to stick his nose in the life of his hotel guests, too. There are couples, who don't want to be put together or apart. When a valuable jewel goes missing, he plays detective and only succeeds in helping the thief to rob the hotel guests at his leisure. Pretty soon, chaos reigns at the hotel; there's massive confusion. Even the newspaper seller, Wally, whom Karl secretly loves, is slowly starting to mistrust him. When the director of "Hotel Europa" finally returns, he throws Karl out, who thereupon simply rents a room as a guest.

The young man from Oxford originates from Vienna, where he returned after completing his studies to take over his deceased uncle's construction company. To gain a better overview, he joined the company as a junior employee and, of course, immediately fell in love with a young colleague...

In Vienna of 1913 a young woman coming from vaudeville theatre circles stands before the wedding with a construction draftsman; this must move to the military and sends his bride on the country, so that she cannot be enticed to the stage. However, she does it and gets by an officer's love affair so in confusion that she commits suicide. - This end environment-close and differentiates of produced melodrama was rejected by press and audience vehemently; the new second film end with the rescue of the desperate was supplied later, so that in this version only a bittersweet common melodrama with excellent actors and good photograph was left. Absurd mistakes arise when the passengers of a burnt down sanitarium are quartered at a hotel. -Humble-tumultuous comedy with situation joke and proven comedians.
