His partner is Mateusz, who dreams of independence, his own place and the longed-for move away from his in-laws.

Baska runs a catering company from home. In addition, she takes care of three children and takes care of her husband, Kacper, who constantly works overtime in the office. Somewhere she lost her spark and zest for life. When she meets the handsome and famous choreographer Jim at work, her life turns upside down. Jim helps Baska gain new clients and her business flourishes. Baska is also blooming. However, her home life suffers. In addition, Kacper begins to suspect Baska of having an affair and demands a divorce. Baska must decide whether she wants to start her life anew or return to what she has built over the years.

Two estranged brothers reunite in an isolated villa inherited from their late parents. Paweł, a successful businessman hiding from trouble, arrives with his fiancée, while his younger brother Piotr, a runaway from a juvenile detention centre, seeks refuge there. Their attempt to rebuild their relationship turns violent when a group of desperate criminals arrive, forcing the brothers into a fight for survival.

A couple of friends, Max and Leo spend some time in Sicily, the island that is associated with mafia. Strange events on one wedding of a mafioso's daughter near the city of Trapani, bring them back to Warsaw. Yet, the criminal leaders, particularly Don Antonio Gambini, are also in Poland where they have a job to do. Unintentionally, Max and Leo are brought into a plot.

Set in Poland in the 1970s, the main character half-heartedly goes about his job as a censor at the state run television station, whilst conducting affairs with nurses, airline pilots, etc. Interesting scene where main character must illegally emigrate to his own country.

Julia's life is wonderful. She lives in the United States, goes to a great school, sings, and runs a popular online channel. Just an "American dream". One day, when her parents decide to return to Poland, everything will change.
