A story set in Uruguay in 1993. It revolves around an investigation by a law court lawyer, Julia. She's looking into the possibility that a chemist named Eugenio Barrios is being secretly sheltered in Uruguay by right-wing political powers.

A Montevideo journalist discovers that the murder of a boy from the slums near the vineyards had political reasons, and was not an isolated incident. Developing a friendship with the victim's older brother, and then the entire family, the journalist tries to get to the bottom of this case. It is not the only case of summary executions of young poor boys in this vineyard, but nevertheless few people really want to challenge the powerful owner of the vineyards.

Miguel and Alicia are a young retired couple. One day, Alicia goes to visit her mother-in-law at the nursing home. Hours go by and she does not return. Concerned, Miguel goes out to look for her, but finds her sitting on the sidewalk. What's wrong with her? What happened during this visit? Alicia does not answer. The following days Miguel tries to find out the reason for his wife's attitude, who remains quiet and still in the same position, while he tries to get everything back to normal.

Emile Robert, a music-hall artist in his sixties, receives a message from Uruguay from a certain Alfredo Quiroga. He says to be the brother of Eurídice, a young intern with whom he had a passionate love story in the 70s. Emile travels to Montevideo in search of the past, where Alfredo lends him the family apartment.

The Uruguay of restored democracy alter years of military dictatorship remains divided about what to do with de military accused of violations of human rights during their government. This documentary records that division and the opinion of different people previous to the referendum on April 16, wich finally granted amnesty for the military.

At ten o'clock on the night of 20 November 1993, in the Barrio Sur neighbourhood of Montevideo, Jaime Roos began the first of 42 concerts on a tour that lasted three months and included performances in all 19 departments of the country. In total some 300,000 saw him play. This documentary captures the essence of that unique tour and it is a crucial contribution to our understanding of Jaime Roos and his position in Uruguayan music towards the end of the 20th century.

This documentary was shot in four countries in the Southern Cone of South America over a two-week period. It examines the democracies that re-emerged after military rule and we hear the testimony of presidents Carlos Menem, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Patricio Alwyn and Luis Alberto Lacalle, and the reflections of many other key figures of that time. There is also an early discussion of the regional integration process that these countries were planning to promote, so we are shown a representative mosaic of each country, which makes this material truly unique.
