Chairman of the Souryukai, Yukihiro Kawaji (Hitoshi Ozawa), is shielded by Executive Director Takeshi Kanzaki (Hitomi Matsuda) who takes a bullet and is severely injured. The Sakata family holds an emergency executive meeting, attended by Detective Umezawa (Hoka Kinoshita) from the Fourth Investigative Division, to deny any involvement. Meanwhile, at the Souryukai, Vice Chairman Shinji Wakamiya (Kazuyoshi Ozawa) and the others begin to prepare for retaliation against the Sakata family. The tension between both sides rapidly escalates — following emergency surgery, Kanzaki narrowly escapes death. Then, at Kawaji's command, the battle finally ignites!!

During the funeral of Senior Advisor Yudai Kanou (Yudai Ishiyama), the Souryukai executives prepare for battle against the Fourth-Generation Sakata family, who were behind Kanou's murder. However, Chairman Yukihiro Kawaji (Hitoshi Ozawa), wary of the Anti-Boryokudan Law, hesitates to make the first move. Thus, instead of starting a full-scale gang war, he entrusts Takeshi Kanzaki (Hitomi Matsuda) with carrying out revenge on the direct perpetrators and mastermind. Where had Kanou's plans leaked from? Vice Chairman Shinji Wakamiya (Kazuyoshi Ozawa) discovers that the day before Kanou was killed, Daisuke Sakai (Daisuke Nagakura), Chief of the Fourth-Generation Sakata family, met with Eiichi Konkai (Eiichi Furui) of the Sakuraba clan. After extracting the truth from Konkai, Kanzaki goes after Sakai—but Sakai and his men are headed for Kanou's gravestone...

Kawaji and his men hold an emergency executives’ meeting… What will Kawaji, Wakamiya, and Kanzaki decide!? And what shocking fate awaits them beyond that!?

The Shimazu Clan of South Osaka, a longstanding yakuza group, built its foundation in the port cargo handling industry and maintained its independence as a traditional gambling syndicate. Tetsuo Sakuragi (Yasukaze Motomiya) formed a brotherly bond with Kenichi Kanamori (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi) while in prison and, upon release, began serving as an executive for the Shimazu Clan. However, after two police raids disrupted their gambling operations, Sakuragi interrogates a regular customer, Hirata, and uncovers that it was orchestrated by the Koga Family. Sakuragi and Kanamori confront Tatsumi (Takashi Shigematsu) at his office, who had been manipulating Hirata, but Kanamori is shot by a Koga Family member. The long-standing cold war between the Shimazu Clan and the Koga Family erupts into full-blown conflict...!!

With the death of Nobuhide Oriki (Tokuma Nishioka), a brutal succession battle erupts within the Oriki-gumi. By vote, Nobunaga (Hitoshi Ozawa) becomes second-generation boss, forcing his brother Nobuyuki into rebellion. In the bloody aftermath, Nobunaga kills both Nobuyuki and his relative Nobuyasu Iwasaki (Hitomi Matsuda). Tragedy deepens as his right-hand man Masahide Hirako (Jiro Okazaki) takes his own life, and his father-in-law Michizo Saimon (Shinzo Hotta) is assassinated in a coup. Now as boss, Nobunaga sets the underworld in motion once more: Ujiyasu Nanjo (Sansho Fukami) rises in Kanto, Motonari Mōriya (Shinichi Chiba) expands in Aki, and in Nagano the fated clash of Kenshin Uemura (Ryuji Harada) and Shingen Takebe (Shun Sugata) begins. But the greatest threat comes from Yoshimoto Imanishi (Naoya Makoto), leading the invasion of Owari. The “war of the elephant and the ant” is about to reach its endgame.

Despite the peace efforts of Souryukai's Senior Advisor Yudai Kanou (Yudai Ishiyama), the conflict between the Souryukai and Sakata family only intensifies. Upon receiving the news, the Daitoua Union demands a response from the Fourth-Generation Sakata family. In the midst of this, the retired Third Generation head Tatsuichi Kuroki (Jiro Dan) suddenly collapses and falls into a coma. His biological son, Kanzaki, goes to see him...

Six years have passed since Tetsuo Sakuragi (Yasukaze Motomiya) became the Wakagashira of the Shimazu Clan. One day, Sakuragi becomes the target of an assassination attempt by Mamoru, the son of the disbanded Morita Clan's leader. Though Sakuragi is shot, his injuries are not life-threatening. Understanding Mamoru’s dire circumstances, Sakuragi chooses to let the matter slide. However, the incident throws the Shimazu Clan's headquarters into chaos. Meanwhile, Hidetoshi Kaji (Hitoshi Ozawa), the leader of the Koga Family, interrogates Shimazu Clan member Takuzo Katsuya (Yoshimi Tachi) and learns about Mamoru’s involvement. Determined to settle the score, Kaji storms the Matsuno Association, the group that inherited the Morita Clan’s remnants, but fails to locate Mamoru. Relentless, Kaji has Matsuno’s members monitored, tracks down Mamoru’s whereabouts, and ultimately abducts him...

Assistant young head of Kimoto Kogyo, Naraoka (Kazuya Kimura), was caught just before he was about to kill the balls of Gunji (Riki Takeuchi), the head of the Kujukai Kujukai family, a rival organization. Upon receiving the news, the Greater East Asia Federation also requested a response from the fourth Sakata-gumi. Meanwhile, Tatsuichi Kuroki (Dan Tokio), the retired leader of the Sakata III clan, suddenly collapsed and fell into a coma. Kanzaki, his own son, goes to see Kuroki...

Yasuda, a young head of the Morisada clan of the Keihin Union, wonders if the murders of his gang member Iwami and his girlfriend were the work of Fujioka, the head of the Fujioka Sogyo clan of the Kurokawa clan. However, the truth is that the assassinations were carried out by Narita, a young head of the Kurokawa clan, at the request of a member of the ruling party. Narita plots to turn the disturbance into a war between the Morisada clan and Fujioka Sogyo...

The war between the Morisada clan of the Keihin Rengo and the Fujioka Sogyo of the Kurokawa clan seemed to have ended when Yasuda, a young leader of the Morisada clan, killed Fujioka, the leader of the Fujioka Sogyo. Hidetoshi Kaji (Hitoshi Ozawa), the head of the Koga Family, takes matters into his own hands and eliminates Natsuo Hiroshige (Eiichi Furui), a former member of Shimazu’s Shinseikai faction, who was secretly working to link Kanamori with the Ichikō Alliance. As Sakuragi and Kaji struggle to address the Kanamori issue, Kanamori’s ties with the Ichikō Alliance deepen, leaving Sakuragi on the verge of giving up. Amidst discussions of Kanamori becoming a sworn brother to Shingo Ōtatsu (Yoshihiro Fujiwara), the Ichikō Alliance’s headquarters chief, Sakuragi sends assistant underboss Naruhide Funaki (Yuma Ishigaki) to infiltrate Kanamori’s group. Funaki desperately tries to prevent Kanamori’s alliance with Ichikō but ultimately reveals a certain truth to Kanamori that changes everything…

Nobuyuki’s reckless schemes invite full-scale invasion from Yoshimoto Imanishi’s Suruga forces, with Ieyasu Tokusawa (Yasukaze Motomiya) spearheading their advance into eastern Owari. The crisis drives boss Nobuhide Oriki (Tokuma Nishioka) into a fatal illness, leaving the family leaderless. The Oriki-gumi now faces not only an external war but also internal strife over succession. Across Owari, tensions flare. Nobunaga’s blood relative, Nobuyasu Iwasaki (HitomiMatsuda) of the Iwasaki-gumi, makes his move. Michizo Saimon (Shinzo Hotta) pushes his Saimon-gumi from neighboring Mino.
