Concert for the Survivors

Tou former boxers meet in the ring again after years for a re-run of an old match. The old loser currently works as a factory executive and he is unwilling to reconcile with his old defeat. He challenges the old winner, whose job in a garage puts him on the opposite end ofthe career ladder. The match is a battle fought between two men who stand for two different attitudes to life. The confrontation results in the revelation that the winner is not always the one whose arm is raised by the referee after the last round.

The story of a man who decides to leave his job and good position to return to his native region and become the administrator of an open-air museum. This step is primarily his personal rebellion against the abuse of his scientific work. It is only a personal confession in a conversation with his teenage daughter that brings him moral cleansing and a return to his lost psychological balance. Expelled from medical school for performing an illegal abortion, a young Slovak man takes a job at a remote mountain sawmill to escape his past. Seeking redemption, he instead finds himself trapped in a rural community driven by corruption, greed, and moral compromise.

Jakub's life arrived at a dead-end. He leaves his job, and gets into conflict with his father. The trouble just grows by his relation with a married woman. Breaking out, Jakub realizes the pleasures of the countryside in the old garden of his grandfather. He finds true love with an angel, and encounters various exciting moments of his new free life. Strange visitors arrive, and he wont get back to town anymore.

In the 1950s, Ludvik Jahn was expelled from the Communist Party and the University by his fellow students, because of a politically incorrect note he sent to his girlfriend. Fifteen years later, he tries to get his revenge by seducing Helena, the wife of one of his accusers.

Tailor Simon from Romadia catches the attention of the dragon princess Helena when he repairs her court poet Kryšpín's torn trousers by cutting them. He becomes a hero when he kills seven flies with one swing. Armed with the reputation of a warrior, he sets out into the world to seek his fortune. In neighboring Drabia, he competes with a giant in stone crushing and high-jumping. He defeats the giant with his cleverness. In a nearby town, he mocks a tax collector and finally decides to win the princess that King Rudolf promised to the one who can dry her tears. And clever Simon does not hesitate.
