If You Were Me 5 takes a close look at the violent nature hidden behind our eyes. 5 directors- Kang Yi Kwan, Boo Ji Young, Yoon Sung Hyun, Kim Dae Seung and Sin Dong Il disclose how closely ordinary events of society connect with our eyes. There is a hidden sexual violence beyond our eyes and the power of a controlled society works through the power beyond the eyes. Not only the violence of the eye itself, also limited the ability of individuals to see, the matter of the eye intervenes in various relationships between the individual and groups. The film demonstrates how sharp the eye has become in a society with developing technology.

A cynical, divorced intellectual has a bizarre life-changing (and life-saving) encounter with a stoic evangelist, who turns out to have his own problems. From amusingly varied viewpoints, the two bond and start to take a stand against the oppressing forces in their lives.

Disillusioned with her work life, Mun-gyeong goes on a vacation to Mungyeong City on a whim. There, she and Ga-eun, a Buddhist nun who was taking travelling practice, rescue a stray dog, Gil-soon. The three unite and spend a night of emotional solidarity at an old lady's house.

Beom-goo, an honest man in his 40s working as an engineer is fired from his work. His wife, Mi-yeong, a salesperson for a credit card company works even harder to make a living for the entire family. Their daughter, Ha-na, a college entrance exam preparer for the second time feels extremely nervous as she is waiting for the announcement of additionally accepted students.

Two young men, Ye-joon and Jae-moon, have been close friends since doing military service together. Ye-joon has lately worked his way up to becoming a successful financier, while the unambitious Jae-moon has opted for a much less conspicuous route. He now works as a cook and is enjoying family life with his wife Ji-sook and their new-born son. Ji-sook tolerates her husband’s attachment to his friend, but everything changes after the tragic death of the child, caused by Ye-joon. Ji-sook was in Paris when the tragedy occurred and isn’t aware of the circumstances; she even starts an affair with Ye-joon when her husband is imprisoned after taking the blame for his son’s death. Relationships which were originally crystal-clear begin to grow distinctly cloudy.

A newly married couple with the dream of getting a job went to outing. Husband Inkwon headed to obstetrics when Wife Bojung suddenly did virginal bloody discharge. Medical doctor recommended the hospitalization because of the danger of miscarriage. Bojung's mother, Gilja, received a warning from a supervisor who manages CCTV because she was talking over the phone with Inkwon while working in a big building. Gilja was arguing with the supervisor as she was calling to Inkwon again and headed straight to the hospital. Inkwon, who found out that he lost his wallet in the hospital, asked the hospital to cooperate after he knew about CCTV in the ceiling with Gilja. Camera was broken though a hospital employee boasted about the camera conversely and then this situation started to get twisted. But still, Bojung did the miscarriage eventually after she asked for the help alone in the ward....
