The Ghost Sonata

Based on play by famous swedish author/playwright August Strindberg adapted for swedish TV in 70's. It's about the real life assassination on swedish king Gustav III who was killed by a lieutenant Jacob Johan Anckarström who acted on behalf of a group conspirators.

"A Dream Play" - Agnes, a daughter of the Vedic god Indra, descends to Earth to bear witness to problems of human beings. She meets about 40 symbolical characters.

Latvian soldiers seek political asylum in Sweden after their country falls under Russian control at the end of World War II. They had been forced into military service by the Nazis to fight against the Russians. Fearing reprisals from the Russians for fighting against them, they struggle desperately to stay in Sweden. After a hunger strike, suicides, and political intervention by Sweden fails to keep them from their former enemy, they are ultimately given over to the Russian authorities. The men are sentenced to hard labor in prison camps and later released, and Latvians are plunged into repression by the aftermath of the bloody war. The cycle of political unrest was still apparent more than 50 years after the conflict.

Finland in the late 1950s. A touring theatre company travels the countryside and play English light comedies. But the audience fails.

He refuses to bury the story, leading to trouble for the idealistic reporter and his girlfriend Christine (Lena Granhagen) in this political drama about the war machine and freedom of the press.

As she works for an old man who owns a photography studio she meets Anna, a photographer with whom she develops a complex friendship. Anna’s circus-performer boyfriend and European politics complicate Linnea’s routine.

About the artist Tamara de Lempicka. At the outbreak of the World War One she fled Poland and settled in Paris. She was quickly drawn into the interaction with Paris's cultural elite.

Verner is a faithful staff manager. He seems to live a perfect family life, but the relationships are fragile. One morning, a man comes to the office. He is looking for a job, but his behavior is pretty strange. Verner makes fun of him. What he does not know is that they soon will meet again, under completely different circumstances.

When the gods appear in disguise the only person who shows them hospitality is the young girl Shen Te and for this she is awarded by them. After a while she finds her new life has also brought new problems.
