The old renowned Landboskole is spreading a new team of Agricultural Candidates after completing the Course.

Due to his gambling addiction, farmer Hans Sværke has brought his farm to the brink of bankruptcy, thereby opening up the opportunity for the wealthy landowner Karius to achieve his goal of taking over the farm. However, parish bailiff Mikkelsen vouches for Sværke and saves him for the time being, and Sværke then leases the farm. Sværke dies, and his talented son Niels takes over the lease. He and the farmer's daughter, Grethe, are happy together, and Niels manages to get her hired at the farm. Martin the vagabond is cheerful and musical like few others. Together with his new friend Anders, he sings his way to a meal and a place to sleep. They have discovered that under Mosegaarden's lean fields and high slopes there are large quantities of raw gravel. Chr. Thorup, who owns the site, has mortgaged the farm far above the chimneys. Now the Uglegaards brothers are just waiting for the right time to take over Mosegaarden. But when Thorup's son, Henrik, unexpectedly shows up at Mosegaarden, the three brothers' sinister plans are thrown into disarray.

A folk comedy set in a village on the island of Zealand, where a powerful and dishonest businessman tries to trick the traditional owner out of his farm, Svanegården. The businessman wants to sell it to the Germans, but a group of brave people and couples in love manage to prevent this from happening.

Instead, he buys Sophienberg. Many years ago, Erik's father signed a confession of embezzlement against the vineyard. Erik believes in his father's innocence and gets help from some of the town's righteous residents to prove his father's innocence.

Once again, the Daughter of Darkness has been put behind bars for yet another one of her infamous crimes. But help is on its way: Her assistant ties a string with a piece of coal and paper to a snake's tale and sends the glistening predator up the drainpipe to the prison window. The Daughter of Darkness informs her helper about the time and place for her imminent transferral to another prison, and when the plans work out, the underground mastermind is off to new adventures.
