Anders returns to Denmark to visit his ill mom too late. Her lawyer tells him he's the illegitimate child of an estate owner. He goes there incognito and works on the big farm and falls for the maid and later for a gold digger.

The rich couple Jytte and Ole spend their lives partying and having fun. After another evening and night of partying, the couple decides to get divorced. The next day they tell Uncle Frederik, who instead proposes a bet: for a year, Jytte and Ole will live on 400,- DKK a month, so that they can experience how ordinary people live. They agree to the proposal and move into a small apartment. Gradually, they learn to cope, but give up the bet after a month. When Ole tells Uncle Frederik that they don't want to be with him anymore, Frederik unfortunately has to tell them that he has ruined their fortune. When Ole gets home, he learns that Jytte is pregnant. This changes their lives to a great extent - Jytte and Ole have suddenly found meaning in life.

He, on the other hand, only has eyes for himself. While completing his film dream, Dan saves script girl Irma from burning to death in the editing room. Meanwhile, Lise has decided to leave Copenhagen.

I Love You Karlsson

A comedy about the young Marie who works in a daycare. However, the house where her work is located has been sold and the new owner does not want the daycare to remain, because he is only interested in dogs. The film could just as well have been called "Where there is room in the heart, there is also room in the house," because it is actually about an old, seasoned people person's solution to the housing problem. He solves it in his own – admittedly unusual – way, but he solves it! Had he been a little more discreet, his invention would never have been discovered – and he could have lived the rest of his life carefree. But this experienced judge of character – whom we call "the Professor" – had one major flaw: his overly big heart for the small and unfortunate members of society in general and the homeless in particular. It is this unfortunate heart that sets the film in motion and accelerates the events.

A Sailor goes ashore

Frederik Larsen (Lau Lauritzen Jr.), a sailor and has sailed since he was 15. Now he has lost the desire for a sailor life, especially after his best friend Bob was lost in a hurricane. When his ship docks at Copenhagen, shortly before Christmas, he signs off with all his hire on the pocket. He seeks accommodations in sailor home Bertel, located on the nice side of Nyhavn. Here he can stay and eat for very little money. He delivers his kitbag to the concierge Henrik (Mogens Hermansen) before he was lured by accordion music and the laughter that comes to him from the "naughty" side of Nyhavn. In the Cafe "The black sails", he accidently joins Inger (Lisbeth Movin) at the same table, whose profession is not in the phone book, although it is the world's oldest. Inger is in the company of an unemployed stoker Vladimir W. Olsen (Poul Reichhardt) that is full of scams, and has a good mood.

Snushanerne

The strict customs regulations have brought about a special type of lawbreaker - smugglers! They abound in all countries, and even in our relatively peaceful country, there are more of them than one would think. The great film director Stenbuk reads sensational articles about a major smuggling affair, and he sends a manuscript back to two writers with the message that if they do not come up with a smuggling-themed manuscript within eight days, they can run and chicken.
