In an idyllic Danish town lives grocery Frost, a very wealthy man, and his greatest wish is that his son Hans will become a lawyer and reach a very prestigious position. But Hans can't complete high school and don't like studying. His main interest is music, but this he must keep hidden because both his parents are against it.

They agree to the proposal and move into a small apartment. Gradually, they learn to cope, but give up the bet after a month. When Ole tells Uncle Frederik that they don't want to be with him anymore, Frederik unfortunately has to tell them that he has ruined their fortune. When Ole gets home, he learns that Jytte is pregnant. This changes their lives to a great extent - Jytte and Ole have suddenly found meaning in life.

Frederik Larsen (Lau Lauritzen Jr.), a sailor and has sailed since he was 15. Now he has lost the desire for a sailor life, especially after his best friend Bob was lost in a hurricane. When his ship docks at Copenhagen, shortly before Christmas, he signs off with all his hire on the pocket. He seeks accommodations in sailor home Bertel, located on the nice side of Nyhavn. Here he can stay and eat for very little money. He delivers his kitbag to the concierge Henrik (Mogens Hermansen) before he was lured by accordion music and the laughter that comes to him from the "naughty" side of Nyhavn. In the Cafe "The black sails", he accidently joins Inger (Lisbeth Movin) at the same table, whose profession is not in the phone book, although it is the world's oldest. Inger is in the company of an unemployed stoker Vladimir W. Olsen (Poul Reichhardt) that is full of scams, and has a good mood.

Erik Menkel is released after six years, convicted of the murder of Viktor Smith. He is sought out by an old college friend of Smith's, who wants Menkel to finish Smith's work. At the same time, Menkel knew a young woman who is looking for him. Jerle lets Erik Menkel disappear so that no one knows Menkel is still alive. Barbara discovers that Menkel is living with Jerle and seeks him out. Jerle has a terrible secret.

They abound in all countries, and even in our relatively peaceful country, there are more of them than one would think. The great film director Stenbuk reads sensational articles about a major smuggling affair, and he sends a manuscript back to two writers with the message that if they do not come up with a smuggling-themed manuscript within eight days, they can run and chicken.

In the year 1646, Denmark is at peace. Only recently have the last occupying troops left Jutland, leaving behind the sad traces of iron heels. The administration has partially collapsed, the kingdom is short of money, and what money there is is unevenly distributed. This is the unusual and sad background to this unpretentious account.

A comedy about the young Marie who works in a daycare. However, the house where her work is located has been sold and the new owner does not want the daycare to remain, because he is only interested in dogs. In Solby, she drives too fast through the town, which is why she has a car accident and ends up in the priest's garden! She immediately starts to lead everyone around the rectory, which Aunt Marie is definitely not happy about. The priest, on the other hand, is attracted to the girl. They swim in the lake and go to a ball together, which leads to Mrs. Larsen coming in to talk to the bishop. After Marianne has returned to Copenhagen, the bishop announces his arrival at the rectory. Where will the priest now find the 2,000 kroons? The priest has a number of friends who are trying to help him, but he also receives unexpected help from the bishop.

During the filming of a movie in Køge, Lise accidentally knocks down the director, Dan Burling. When the film crew leaves Køge, Dan invites Lise to come to the city. When Lise shows up in Copenhagen, she thinks she has been offered a role in a movie, while Dan was hoping to find a new housekeeper. Lise becomes Dan's housekeeper, and soon her love for him grows. He, on the other hand, only has eyes for himself. While completing his film dream, Dan saves script girl Irma from burning to death in the editing room. Meanwhile, Lise has decided to leave Copenhagen.

1905. A couple of cheerful traveling salesmen, Hansen and Larsen, are on their last round of visits to customers before settling down in the big city to open their own business selling women's underwear. They hold a farewell dinner for one of their old customers in Lilleby. There is a ball at the hotel, and a couple of young ladies make the acquaintance of the two friends, which will have consequences in more ways than one.
