The infamous Hospital Colonia de Barbacena (Barbacena Colony Hospital), biggest mental institution of Brazil, once compared to concentration camps of Auschwitz ,opens its gates to a production crew during the country's dictatorship period. This short documentary depicts how mental patients were treated inside the institution and how anyone could end up an intern there for no plausible reason.

Elixir do Pajé

Three schoolgirls secretly read the erotic-comic poem Elixir do Pajé, by Bernardo Guimarães. First published in 1875, in Ouro Preto, the poem is an amusing monologue by a man with his (no longer) virile member.

O Mineiro e o Queijo

The documentary tells how the artisanal cheese production technique arrived in Minas Gerais in the 18th century, brought by Portuguese adventurers in search of gold. Today, almost 30 thousand families live from the production of artisanal cheese throughout the state.
