Eventually she is lucky enough to be found, but she doesn't want to hear anything about the toy maker. Endre's fatherly friend, Uncle Reményi, is very taken with the serious girl and decides to bring the young people together.

A very proper young woman is horrified to discover not only that her mother once worked as a prostitute in order to support her, but that she later became a whorehouse madam rather than give up the business.
