Tarapunka and Shtepsel Under the Clouds

At the height of the season, the famous football player leaves his team: he is a motorcycle designer and his presence at the factory is necessary. It is 1920. After three years of the Russian Civil War, communist government is finally established in Odessa. Young Volodya Kozachenko, who dreams of being a detective like Sherlock Holmes, joins the newly forming Odessa Criminal Police.

Fitil is a popular Soviet/Russian television satirical/comedy short film series which ran for about 500 episodes. Some of the episodes were aimed at children, and were called Фитилёк, Fitilyok, Little Fuse. Each issue contained from the few short segments: documentary, fictional and animated ones. Directed by various artists, including Leonid Gaidai who presented his famous trio of Nikulin, Vitsin and Morgunov into the cast. It was called in USSR as "the anecdotes from the Soviet government".

A comedy about the trip of Tarapunki and Shtepselya (popular artists of the Soviet stage of the 60s) to a concert in Moscow. The fire department is preparing for the New Year. Three activists of amateur performances decide to kidnap professional artists for a New Year's concert. A police captain investigates the kidnapping and listens to complaints from the “unkidnapped” artists.

During the war, Tarapunka meets Galya, but their paths diverge. The war ends, Tarapunka finds a job as a traffic cop in Kyiv, and his friend Shtepsel becomes a theater technician. Galya comes there to perform. The paths of the heroes cross again, and the concert introduces new comedians to the world.

Local comic duo from the Ukraine reach for the "big time" by entering a talent contest for the Moscow vaudeville circuit, must overcome the interference of an established, competition-shy duo who are helping judge the contest.

A chemist by training, Alexandr Bochkin manages a Moscow dry-cleaning operation, but lives a very comfortable life, taking orders on the side for his speculative "private enterprise," run in conjunction with "Queen Margot". But when his old friend from the chemical institute, Yuri Lebedev arrives in Moscow from the Siberian city of Dalnegorsk, along with a traveling companion, Olga, Bochkin becomes uncomfortable with his job title.

Tarapunka and Stetsel go to the Stone Age, to the Middle Ages to a knight's tournament, watching the first movie. And then they go to the future, where these vestiges no longer exist, but other problems have arisen.

Terenty leaves the collective farm and goes to the city to study to become an agronomist. Marina works hard and looks forward to her husband's return. When her husband returns home, he reproaches his wife for being uneducated, asks for a divorce and leaves for the city. Left with her daughter, Marina devotes herself entirely to her studies and work.

Young musician Zhenya Kovalchuk falls in love with aerobatic pilot Yulia. The feeling is mutual, but Yulia cannot bring herself to reveal her feelings to Zhenya. Then the famous, but not yet elderly, Doctor of Science Kressovsky, who also hopes for Yulia's affection, stands in his way. The two suitors clash with their swords, and the duel ends with the doctor being wounded. The doctor intrigues, and Zhenya faces expulsion from the institute.

Fighter pilots Sergei and Nikolai test new planes together and try to beat each other in everything. Their rivalry began back in school, when both were passionate about the pretty classmate Varey. A tragic accident led Sergei to complete blindness. Varya, who has long loved him, has a difficult decision: to become a wife of a disabled person ...
