Futa (Watanabe Shu) relocates from the city to the countryside and is being hassled for loan payments for the farmland and house that he bought. His partner Minori (Goriki Ayame) sees what is going on and pulls out a mysterious ring to use for the repayments. But from there, the two get pulled into a world where fantasy and reality are blurred. Shinpei first meets Kasumi at a movie theatre, in a certain way an impressive encounter as he wrongly sits in her seat. The path of the two cross again as Kasumi later becomes Shinpei’s co-worker at a restaurant. One night, Shinpei finds Kasumi acting suspiciously in front of a building. She is stalking her boyfriend, whom she suspects cheated on her. Knowing the secret, Shinpei is asked to lend a hand in the infidelity investigation. Their nights then turn into a detective game and Shinpei finds himself drawn to the charm of Kasumi...

Insurance salesperson Miho feels cozy living with her boyfriend Yuya who, refusing to give up on his musician dreams, lives a self-indulgent lifestyle. But she wonders to herself if things will be OK like this. One day, an e-mail exchange between Yuya and his co-worker Shuri leads to an argument resulting in Miho throwing Yuya out of the house. Yuya has no place to go; Miho is all alone. After living together for seven years, the couple will spend this night apart.

The story is set in Abashiri, Hokkaido, and follows a high school student, Nagi, who transferred from Osaka.

Osamu Asaku, who lives a stressful and uninteresting life, heads to the wedding of his ex-girlfriend but he feels intimidated and turns back on the verge. Rina, who pantomimes on the street, is in the midst of her job search but has not found her future. A drunken Asaku gets involved with Rina, and the two meet again the next day and go to the beach.

They stop by the library and find a book on séance techniques, and then begin to perform "Kagome" necromancy.
