A multi-layered story told spontaneously in a natural and simple manner. A story between a grandpa and his granddaughter, their home will be cleared out by the government for the sake of constructing a railway route right through their village.

Lee Sin-yu wants to make a documentary about a friend and his dementia grandfather, who would occasionally say that his wife is "Lo Ting". Lee Sin-yu set out for the fishing village of Tap Mun to begin filming, and starts to understand the dark side of Lo Ting that has been hidden in history.

The financial analysis of a Chinese IT firm has been stolen, and a senior executive at the investment bank that wrote it must pay a ransom before the confidential report is released to the public. However, eyebrows are raised when the thieves ask for a surprisingly low amount for the ransom. What are the thieves really after?

Lai Yan-Chi's short film 1+1 triumphed at two prominent short film awards in Hong Kong, namely Fresh Wave and IFVA. She multiplies the sentiment in 1+1, by N times maybe, to come up with her debut feature-length fictional film N+N. The wise grandpa and witty granddaughter from 1+1 continue to bless the city with bamboo shoots, while their own home in a rural village is torn down to give way for the high speed railway. They meet other people also jeopardized by the so-called development: artist left homeless because of factory revitalization, the middle-class striving for a living, the young generation born in the 1990s... They are all trying to hold on to the city's collective memory and every living tree.

Talking about her documentary, she first talked about “Mommy, Mama and Us” and said that she was a pair of lesbians in Hong Kong who insisted on the possibility of same-sex marriage and family and hoped to tell other people through their own stories. People, sex proceeds unimpeded. “It was a pair of lovers who had a lot of questions when you saw them. Their stories had many complexities, but at the same time, they also showed that they all came along with firm love and courage.” She laughed and remembered the pair. Same-sex mothers are holding cute sticky sons and kiss each other's foreheads, gently grinding the love and encounter of two generations.
