The story of war veteran Sviatoslav Yavir. He follows the secret train that transports to the Siberia Ukrainian women, including his wife and daughter, repressed by the totalitarian regime.

Masha, who works for a radio station, and Maxim, a street sweeper with an architectural degree, cross paths with each other when they are at an indecisive point in their lives.

Americans decided to make sure that in the Arkhangelsk region village was found a diamond deposit, and sent there under the command of the submarine black veteran, who accompanied the Allied convoys during the 2nd World War. As a distraction the barrel full of alcohol (200 liters) was thrown to the shore. The barrel was caught by the local blacksmith Philemon. On this occasion villagers arranged festivities and all American submariners were gradually involved into it against their will.

In the new Russia, former middle class citizens find themselves out in the dumps. Literally. They build homes, elect their own government, work, beg, scavenge, date and fight all while living in a huge city dump. Some try to beat the odds and return to society, but it seems that there is only one place left for them to go...

This movie deals with two friends, 13-14 year old boys. One comes from a more or less stable home (although he is growing up with single mom) and another comes from a broken up family. One day the kids break into a store to pretty much have fun and get something to eat, short time after they get caught and one kid is sent to juvenile prison (14 year old) and another one is released to his being too young to be tried (13 years old). The younger kid feels bad about such decision, feels guilty and tries to help his friend in any way possible. While trying to help he is meeting a guy, who is ex-cop and now down-on-his-luck drunk(played by Priyomykhov himself)... the two become friends. In the finale, the ex-cop has to go one of the PTA meeting at school (his mother could not get away from work and knows nothing about the ex-cop) where suddenly his mother appears and meets the "father"...

The modest and shy Zhenya is plagued by a string of misfortunes: the man she had lived with for quite some time has left her, she has lost her job, and her father offers no help because he lives with his new wife and makes decisions only with her approval. To make matters worse, her landlady keeps demanding rent when Zhenya barely has enough to survive. Her friend Masha comes to the rescue, helping Zhenya regain confidence and encouraging her to take action. While discussing possible ways out of her situation, Zhenya remembers that her grandmother possessed ancient mystical knowledge and had once shared many secrets of magic with her. The friends decide that Zhenya should inherit her grandmother’s gift — and perhaps even make a living from it.

In order to find her future, a young woman must go back through her past.
