Garuda: Dare to Dream

Putra, a 13-year-old boy living with asthma, dreams of one day playing for Indonesia’s national football team. Often underestimated, his determination never wavers until he fails a crucial selection, making his dream feel impossibly out of reach. Everything changes when he encounters Gaga, a mystical Garuda who offers him a new chance. Alongside Naya, a talented young footballer and the coach’s daughter who becomes his fiercest ally, Putra embarks on a journey filled with challenges, growth, and unexpected courage. Through it all, Putra comes to understand that chasing a dream takes more than grit and bravery. It takes belief, and the people who stand beside you. The question is: can he rise above his limits and become one of Indonesia’s finest?

The Violin

Circa late 1930s, Boat Quay, Singapore. A young boy receives an old violin as a gift out of kindness from a foreign trader. From then on, it becomes a treasured possession as he teaches himself to play the instrument over several years, until it was lost during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore. After the war, the violin was found by a man working for the British Military Administration and given to his young daughter. The girl learns to play it and becomes a renowned violinist over the decades. She eventually passes the instrument on to her grandson, an accomplished violinist himself, who restores it and performs in a concert by the Singapore River, where the violin started its unexpected journey nearly 80 years ago.

Mickey Go Local

Mickey Go Local is a 2019 webcast animated series and also a locally-produced animated series exclusively for the Southeast Asian market. Though the episodes premiered on Disney Channel Asia's official YouTube channel, the series began airing on Disney Channel in Southeast Asia as interstitials.

The Violinist

It is Singapore in the late 1930s. Kai and Fei are childhood friends and aspiring violinists. When Japan invades Malaya in 1941, Kai chooses to forgo his music career to join the anti-Japanese forces. After the war Kai goes missing. Determined to find him, Fei performs all over Southeast Asia, all the while seeking any news of Kai. Yet, as time fades, Fei has to decide if she must find her own music to define the remaining years of her life.

Timescapes

First officially screened as an anthology film in August 2018 in Seoul International Animated Film Festival, featuring 6 animated short films about life, love and the landscapes of Singapore past and present. With virtually no dialogue, each film is accompanied by a musical score and aims to show how our living landscapes and surroundings intertwine with our memories and imagination. Stories are based on Singapore’s past that spans 80 years. The latest addition is "Erhu", premiered on 5 Feb 2019. ​

The Bicentennial Trilogy

1299, 1819, and 2019 three historical milestone periods in Singapore's past come to life in this special trilogy of animated short films that commemorate the nation's Bicentennial. Collectively, the films relive key events and discover the stories behind pivotal moments in the 700-year history of Singapore.

A Short Walk

On a quiet February morning in 1942, weeks after the Japanese occupied Singapore, a young Chinese boy accompanies his father on a walk from their home to a mass screening centre. Accompanied by a sombre score, the animated film is a melancholic reflection on the systemic purge of local Chinese by the Japanese military known as Sook Ching and meditates on the historical trauma.

The Dalang's Tale

Two stories intertwine: one of a workaholic father and his growing impatience with his young son as they make their way to a wayang kulit show and the other of a man who dotes on his son but secretly inflicts acts of abuse on his wife before he disappears after a violent incident.

Erhu

A spiritual prequel to 2015's 'The Violin', this 5-min short film once again takes viewers back to the old days of colonial Singapore, this time in the mid-1800s when emigrants arrived in droves after Singapore became a free port.

An innocent friendship that blossomed between bookshelves of the old National Library that grew into a love story that would find its way back decades later in search of memories amongst little red bricks.

The Girl & The Cat

A young Malay girl is separated from her mother at a Pasar Malam (night market) and meets a cat who brings her deep into the underbelly of the bazaar where fantasy meets reality.
