Ayşe is disappointed when she cannot find the Doctor at the bus station, but a big surprise awaits her. Upon learning that Ayşe will return to Istanbul shortly, Mehmet Şeker begins making plans to keep her by his side. He is so desperate that he even asks Muhtar Bahri for help. When none of his plans work out, he seeks refuge with Ümmü hala. Ümmü hala asks both of them to find the Sevdalım flower. Mehmet and Ayşe are in for a long journey where their love will be tested.

Ziver Bey, the educated and worldly leader of the surrounding villages, becomes infatuated with Ayşe. Seeing the doctor as the only obstacle between them, Ziver Bey, with the help of Village Headman Bahri, plays a cruel trick on Doctor Şeker. This trick not only separates Ayşe and Mehmet but also completely ruins Mehmet's life.
