The Traitor

1971, Odesa Film Studio. The KGB studio curator orders a re-edit of just finished movie about the events of Ukraine’s 1920s "civil war" of a young director in line with the Party’s view on the historical events. This re-editing work is entrusted to a young female editor, which consequently realizes she must protect the director’s vision and the safe-guard the truth about her country under Soviet occupation.

Chervonyi

Year 1947. Commander of UPA Danylo Chervonyi gets into the terrible slaughter of Stalin's camps, where he must go through hell and inhumane prison conditions, prosecution of criminal leaders, meanness, betrayal and despair. Danylo finds the strength to resist repression of the camp commander and makes a desperate attempt to break free, raising the first rebel in the camp.

Mother of Apostles

There is only her willpower. But it is her will and love that help her to find people who begin to sympathize and help her, and thereby change themselves. A dangerous journey turns her from the mother of one pilot into the mother of all who need to be saved, who need the spiritual rebirth. She is ready to come for even those whom she considered an enemy.

Host 2. On My Own land

February 2022. At a family dinner in the home of Terentiy Puzyr, tensions are rising: his son-in-law Mykhailo is preparing for war, and Puzyr does not believe him. Daughter Sonya spends the resources of the agricultural company on terrorist defense, and has no grandchildren. On February 24, the explosions mark the beginning of the invasion. Sonya persuades her parents to evacuate, but they refuse. The bridge is closed by the Ukrainian army, and the family is cut off. Russian troops enter the agricultural company. Puzyr is forced to choose between collaboration and protecting the community.

And God Stepped Into the Void

An old couple live their days out in the abandoned village within the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Being at odds, they stopped talking to each other, and now the only way of communication they have is a rusty 'mail kettle' on the wire.

Chola the Bear

Ursus is a story of three outcasts—Georgian unemployed film director, Ukrainian ex-stuntman and a Canadian female fighter for the wild animals' rights—making their desperate journey from Tbilisi, the capital of ex-Soviet Georgia plunged into a civil war, to Berlin at the beginning of 1992. Each of the three characters pursues their own goal without even knowing how much their fates are intertwined.

The Red Lotus

The shooting of a prosperous and influential businessman leaves the residents of a small provincial town in a state of shock. While the initial investigation indicates that a woman may have been involved in the murder, the crime scene has been left clean, and detectives have very little evidence to go on. However, with the culprits still at large and the crime unsolved, the sudden death of this local celebrity is frightening the entire town. Fortunately, the investigator from the central prosecutor's office happens to be in town on vacation and steps in to head the murder investigation.
