Debiteuren Crediteuren is a satire of boring office life and repetitive corporate culture. The series focuses on three colleagues and their secretary working in a financial administration office. Each episode follows a rigid pattern: mundane small talk, bad jokes, office supplies obsession (like "stiften"), and lunch breaks involving specific sandwiches. I was made by the Dutch absurdist comedy show Jiskefet and originally aired on the VPRO network.

A Hot Summer Night

A husband, half of an entertainment duo, the Nellicos, tells his wife, who is the other half of the duo, that he has another woman. But they cannot discuss this as he tells her only just before they are due to perform in front of a large audience. (BFI)

The Gherkin King

The Gherkin King is a reality series about the striking Oos Kesbeke, who is at the helm of his gigantic pickles empire. His sons Camiel and Silvian, the pickle princes, must be prepared to take over the business in the long term.

No Trains No Planes

The film takes place in a small cafe on the forecourt. When Gerard, one of the regular visitors, appears in the cafe to inform him that he is leaving, the usual course of the cafe's life suddenly breaks.

When the new Minister of Foreign Affairs takes office, all sorts of skeletons come tumbling out of the closet, not only politically, but especially personally.

Sint Hubertusberg

Sint Hubertusberg is the final Jiskefet series, set in a bleak and surreal retirement home. It is a tragicomic satire of elderly care, blending absurd humor with a poignant, often painful realism.

The Dress

The story of a summer dress and those who have to do with it, especially the train conductor (played by van Warmerdam, the director). The dress functions as catalyst for the whimsical events, which turns out to be either tragic or hilarious.

Waiter

Edgar works as a waiter in 'Het Westen', a restaurant. He is married and has a lover. His neighbors terrorize him with loud music and garbage. One day after he is mistreated by some customers he is sick of it all and goes to talk to his creator, the scenario writer.

King Sausage

When Greetje's father Mr. Tuitjes, a butcher, decides to compete against his Italian rival Smakkerelli, their whole usually so quiet village is turned upside down. The enemies have closed the deal that whoever loses the competition organized by the Society or Meat Products from Fresh Pigs must leave town forever. And that threatens not only Mr. Tuitjes' business, but also the love between Greetje and Nol. Suddenly, the annual sausage competition becomes a devilish dilemma: will Greetje choose her father's luck, or her own?
