The protagonists of the film - four boys and a girl aged 12-14 - are in constant conflict with the social order; they are only a step away from the hooligan lifestyle. The film shows the need for the existence of ideals, noble myths and models of behavior in the lives of young people. The characters' dreams are embodied in the romantic character of Tolek Banana, his mysterious personality stimulates their imaginations. The film presents the adventures of a youth "gang" changing their behavior under the influence of Tolek Banana. Thanks to him, the heroes learn friendship and honesty, according to the principle "one for all, all for one".

In “Blood Drop,” the Germans find a set of typical Aryan characteristics in this story’s protagonist – a Jewish girl, hiding in an orphanage.

Wrocław, 1947. A young man, a former Home Army soldier, faces political and moral dilemmas before deciding on his future path in life. The protagonist of the film, Ryszard, has not revealed himself. He first works in the militia, then as a driver for the director of a wagon factory. He becomes involved with Karolina, who is older than him, becomes the lover of Zula, his employer's wife, and develops deep feelings for the beautiful and sensitive Blanka. Ryszard cannot find his place and ends up alone. Finally, he decides to take advantage of the amnesty decree and reveal himself.

All the ambiance of an old-fashioned circus comes across with great clarity in this otherwise routine psychological tale about a mean-spirited mime and his effects on his colleagues. The small, traveling circus has been sliding downhill for awhile, and unless some new life is infused into its acts, its future does not look very rosy. Into this precarious situation comes a new mime with the uncanny ability to sap the confidence of his fellow performers. If he continues for long in this vein, no one will be able to believe they have any talent left at all.
