Teum-Teum was a French television program hosted by Juan Massenya that aired on France 5 from September 19, 2009, to July 23, 2011. Each month, Juan Massenya took a public figure to the suburbs—a space for meeting and discovering the people who shape life in these neighborhoods. According to producer Stéphane Simon, the show aimed to "take an interest—without naivety or stigmatization—in the people who shape life in France's neighborhoods, across all social backgrounds..." The program was structured around a series of encounters between the guest and local residents. Each meeting took place in a different location: an apartment, a housing project rooftop, a parking lot, a halal butcher shop, or a café.

"Bains de minuit" (Midnight Baths) was a late-night talk show hosted by Thierry Ardisson on La Cinq in the late 1980s, filmed in the famous Parisian nightclub Les Bains Douches. Ardisson interviewed personalities from the worlds of music, film, fashion, literature, sports, and politics, seated among the audience in the club's authentic atmosphere. The concept was to immerse these personalities in the world of nightlife and festivities, far removed from traditional television studios. The interviews were often irreverent and direct, with a provocative tone that would become Ardisson's trademark. He considers this show one of his freest and most audacious creations. It helped solidify his image as a cosmopolitan, transgressive, and highly scripted late-night talk show host.

Tout le monde en parle is a French talk show broadcast on France 2 from September 5, 1998 to July 8, 2006. It was hosted by Thierry Ardisson and produced by Catherine Barma. During its first season, the show took the form of societal debates; it was in September 1999 that it was re-formatted into a talk-show. The show features guests who are making news at the moment, including actors, writers, singers, politicians and athletes. Guests discuss their life and engage in thematic interviews. The show gradually acquired a provocative reputation, notably since the host does not hesitate to ask political guests questions about their private and sexual lives. With Thierry Ardisson as the main host, he was first accompanied by Laurent Ruquier and Linda Hardy. Later, he turned to duos Éric and Ramzy, then Kad and Olivier. Finally, he opted for comedian Lauren Baffie as co-host, until the end of the show.

Under pressure, stuck between a professional life stressful and chaotic family life, his days are not looking easy. Indeed, work side Bravus must wet the gown to slow a decline that has a tendency to accelerate under the leadership of the incompetent messy, cruel, capricious and narcissistic Maximus. Personal side, he must face every night his son Caius freshly converted to Christianity, his wife Octavia, foreign to the codes of good Roman society and daughter Lydia sassy which assimilates too well. "Peplum" or how to avoid the burn out in a declining society. The parallel with today can not be a coincidence.
