Naoko Kishikawa is a 31 year-old single who works for the undergarment section at a departmental store. She lives with her parents and a younger sister. One day, she meets a Korean photographer, Lee Ji-won. Ji-won's presence gradually changes Naoko and her family.

In 1979 Tokyo, four distinct sisters uncover their aging father's affair, causing their happy facades and bottled-up emotions to slowly unravel.

She is furious because he refuses to tell her anything about Chiyo. Thus, she takes it upon herself to find out about Chiyo and soon has a confrontation with her.
