It is an adaptation of the 1982 Argentine telenovela Los cien días de Ana, created by Osvaldo Dragún. The telenovela stars Eduardo Capetillo and Lorena Rojas. The story follows Ana Guzmán, a young woman whose life changes after she falls in love with Renzo, an aspiring rock singer, shortly after being diagnosed with leukemia. Determined to live every moment to the fullest, Ana supports Renzo's dreams while the couple faces love, illness, separation, and the emotional challenges that test the strength of their relationship.

Buscando el paraíso is a Mexican youth telenovela produced by Luis de Llano Macedo and Marco Flavio Cruz for Televisa and originally broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas from November 8, 1993, to April 1, 1994. Directed by Benjamín Cann, the telenovela stars Pedro Fernández and Yolanda Andrade, with Karla Álvarez and Alejandro Ibarra in antagonist roles. DKDA: Sueños de juventud is a Mexican youth telenovela produced by Luis de Llano Macedo for Televisa and originally broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas from November 22, 1999, to April 28, 2000. Created by Susan Crowley and adapted by Sergio Schmucler and Carmen Sepúlveda, the telenovela stars Jan, Litzy (later replaced by Andrea Torre), María Sorté, Otto Sirgo, and Eugenia Cauduro. The series was conceived around a fictional pop group and blends music with teen drama. The story follows Rodrigo Arias and Laura Martínez, two teenagers brought together by the successful pop group DKDA. As they pursue their musical dreams, they face romance, rivalries, family conflicts, jealousy, and personal challenges. Alongside their friends and bandmates, they learn about love, friendship, loyalty, and the responsibilities that come with fame while navigating the ups and downs of youth.

It is a merger of Aguetas de Color de Rosa and Confidente de Secundaria, produced by Luis de Llano Macedo in 1994 and 1996, respectively. Bianca Marroquin and Patricio Borghetti star as the main protagonists, while Lucía Méndez and Lisardo Guarinos star as the main antagonists. Esperanza del Corazón won 1 award in Premios TVyNovelas: Best co-star actress. Canal de las Estrellas aired Esperanza del Corazón from July 18, 2011 to February 3, 2012, with Un Refugio para el Amor replacing it. Univision aired Esperanza del Corazón at 2pm central from September 6 to October 14, 2011, replacing one hour of Zacatillo, un lugar en tu corazón. It was later seen at 1pm central from October 17, 2011 to March 9, 2012, replacing Rafaela. From March 12 to March 23, 2012, Univision moved "Esperanza del Corazón" to 12pm central, due to El Talismán airing at 1pm central.
