Youkai Sharehouse: The False Prince on a White Horse

A two-part feature directed separately by Shimizu and his colleague Keisuke Toyoshima. Unrelated to each other, both have a common goal: to bring ghosts and aliens together in pure, referential and absurdistic delirium, including neo-Nazi specters, zombie yakuzas and nasty aliens.

High schooler Ichitaka Seto is in love with classmate Iori Yoshizuki, but is too shy to tell her. Again and again, he plans to tell her his true feelings, but each time something – usually a misunderstanding of some kind – gets in the way. Things complicate further when Itsuki Akiba – whom Ichitaka was friends with in their childhood before she moved to the United States – returns, her crush on him still intact.

One morning, students find their homeroom teacher Tokuyama Daigoro’s body on the floor of the classroom. A strange school life begins as the students work hard to hide the presence of their teacher's corpse in their classroom. Other teachers from the Academy, their homeroom teacher's wife, his mistress, police, and reporters... One-by-one they visit the classroom and the students face the risk of being discovered. Is it possible to continue to hide it?! And who was it who killed him?!

Yūko Ichihara is the sexy owner of a strange store which offers to make any wishes come true for a price. Kimihiro Watanuki has a special type of blood that attracts spirits and ghosts. He goes into the shop owned by Yūko Ichihara and asks her to get rid of the spirits. Yūko offers to do so if he works part-time at the store.

Keisuke Yoshimaru is a screenwriter, but instead of working, he is responsible for all household chores. On the other hand, Keisuke's wife, Nami, is a popular novel writer under the name "Ririko Kōsaka". Nami is the breadwinner with outstanding fame and income. Keisuke is somehow satisfied with his current life, but, one day, the main writer of a prime-time drama suddenly drops out, and Keisuke was given the opportunity to write again. Although Keisuke starts writing with full of expectations, he begins to be swayed by various problems.

Mio Meguro is a timid person. She is afraid of being hated by others, and this causes her to refrain from saying what she really wants to say. She doesn't have any specific things she wants to do. She got a job and eventually dated a man from her workplace. Mio Meguro wanted to marry the man, but he turns out to be a bad guy. Because of him, she becomes penniless and unemployed. Her life descends into a bottomless pit. Mio Meguro then happens to get a sharehouse, where the mysterious creatures known as yōkai live. The yōkai try to solve her problems in radical ways.

During a night shift, security guard Kiriyama watches a popular live streaming show titled '#Iwilltellyouthetruth' from the guardroom. The show is known for exposing the hidden truths behind sensational incidents and gossip, offering cash rewards and tips in return. The more shocking the revelation, the hotter the viewer reaction—and the greater the payout. In desperate need of money, Kiriyama decides to join the program and is eventually selected as a participant. Kiyotaka Sato (Shuhei Nomura) is a university student. He is sociable, but he looks like he doesn't have interest in those around him. During his summer vacation, Kiyotaka Sato plans to get his driver's license to impress schoolmate Matsuda (Yukino Kishii). At this time, a yakuza boss (Ken Mitsuishi) orders Todoroki (Kento Kaku) to get his driver’s license. Todoroki doesn't show his feelings outwardly. Later, Todoroki drives a car without a driver’s license and he hits Kiyotaka Sato. To cover up the accident, Kiyotaka Sato is placed in a car and taken to away. He arrives at an unofficial driving school. The driving school is run by the Uehara family. There, Kiyotaka Sato and Todoroki learn that they graduated from the same high school. They spend their summer at the driving school.

Unholy Women (Kowai onna), is a composite of three unrelated half-hour horror movies. A compilation of 3 separate short horror films (Rattle Rattle, Hagane, The Inheritance) written and directed by Keita Amemiya, Takuji Suzuki, and Keisuke Toyoshima respectively. The first segment, “Rattle Rattle”, tells the story of a young woman who is pursued by an evil other-worldly being. The second movie, “Steel”, concerns a young man who agrees to take the sister of his boss out on a blind date, drawing him into a world more frightening than he ever dreamed possible. The third and final episode, “The Inheritance”, is a supernatural tale of a woman and her young son, scarred by abuse and psychological trauma.
