A housewife covertly works in a high-class brothel in Tokyo with other married women. She never wants her husband to know that she is a prostitute. The brothel and its employees were making good money, but after the accidental death of one housewife, things begin to go wrong.

13-year-old Sachiko is about to encounter the most difficult moments in her young life. Her father abandons her and her mother attempts to commit suicide by slashing her wrist.
