Voiture : êtes-vous prêts à lâcher le volant ?

In April 2014, Paris Zoo opens its doors to the public after two years of huge restoration works. Two years to invent a new kind of zoo. With the complicity of a veterinary and an animal or a group of animals, each episode of the series will tell the story of the arrival of an animal at the zoo or a particular event that marked its reopening, including all the stages and issues that characterize them. Each episode will focus on a central story with an emblematic animal but the other species will also be present in our series through sub-plots.

For forty days, a group of fourteen volunteers led by explorer and researcher Christian Clot lived independently in a cave in Ariège. Immersed in the cave, this is the story of an incredible collective human and scientific experience.

A look at relevant scientific issues

A fascinating and colorful look at the ways more than 500 million people adjust to life in the shadow of essential, yet potentially deadly, volcanoes.

No two volcanoes are alike; each one has its own distinctive landscape, climate, and geological context. Just as unique are the people we meet along the way who help us comprehend how greatly our planet – and our lives – have been shaped by volcanic phenomena. For the scientific aspect of each episode, we explore the very diverse range of questions raised by volcanic phenomena in such varied fields as earth sciences, climatology, biodiversity, oceanography, geography, agronomics, and archaeology. The cultural part of the show delves into mythology, religion, philosophy, folk and artistic traditions, cooking, and ways of life.
