Chico Buarque: Na Carreira

Five years after his last tour, Chico Buarque returns with a show to launch his newest CD, Chico, which has already sold over 80,000 copies. Despite having one of the most solid and prolific careers in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) — releasing more than 40 albums over 45 years, including solo works and projects — the composer rarely appears on Brazilian stages. This will be only the sixth show he has performed in the last 36 years. Lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, the setlist is built entirely around the ten songs from the new album. In addition to these, the artist sifted through his vast catalog of over 400 songs—diverse in both genres and themes—to finalize a list of 30 tracks. The project, titled Na Carreira, is a celebration of this great artist’s return to the stage, revisiting classics such as Todo Sentimento, Bastidores, Baioque, O Meu Amor/Teresinha, Anos Dourados, among others.

The Werewolf: A Midnight Terror

A millionaire lives in a sinister cottage where strange events unfold. A damned creature, he transforms himself in a werewolf and leads a following whose adepts spread horror and despair in the neighboring city, becoming themselves a clan of assassins. One day, the werewolf confronts Branca Justiça (White Justice), who summons benign forces to scathe them and frees him of his own wickedness.

Everything's Alright

Middle-class family reform their apartment, and the noise, the contact with the workers and strange occurrences turn what was supposed to be a trivial matter into a trip to hell.

The Brazilwood Man

Fantasy comedy about Brazilian writer Oswald de Andrade, one of the most important icons of Modernism in Brazil. In the film, Oswald is played by two actors: Ítala Nandi, as his feminine anima, and Flávio Galvão, as the masculine half.

Kuarup

This epic Brazilian film was based on the equally epic novel by Antonio Callado. Set between 1954 and 1964, the film's focus is the saga of Jesuit priest Nando. Fed up with civilization, he ventures deep into Amazon country to live with and work among the Xingu Indians.

A Paixão de Jacobina

In the mid-1870s, Jacobina, daughter of German immigrants, became leader of a sect that believed in healing the body by cleansing the soul. After having a divine vision and speaking to Jesus, she changes her appearance and manners, disturbing the conservative population of the place. After the death of opponents of her sect, local authorities decide to take action against her and her followers.
