The film tells about the inhabitants of the Russian city of Tsaritsyn-Stalingrad-Volgograd. The film consists of three novellas, united by the theme of love and the scene - a city on the Volga.

The heroine of the film is an employee of an automobile factory, a person with a whole generous character. Always ready to help those who need her help, she doesn't worry about how her personal life is going, but she's quite happy.

At forty-five, a writer decides to change his life and devote himself entirely to his art. Leaving behind a troubled family, he moves into an abandoned house…

Fitil is a popular Soviet/Russian television satirical/comedy short film series which ran for about 500 episodes. Some of the episodes were aimed at children, and were called Фитилёк, Fitilyok, Little Fuse. Each issue contained from the few short segments: documentary, fictional and animated ones. Directed by various artists, including Leonid Gaidai who presented his famous trio of Nikulin, Vitsin and Morgunov into the cast. It was called in USSR as "the anecdotes from the Soviet government".

But the pain destroyed the soul, manifesting itself in short novels that did not bring happiness and unfulfilled hopes ...
