The story of the Podolsk cadets’ heroic stand outside Moscow in October 1941. Cadets were sent to the Ilyinsky line, fighting alongside units from the Soviet 43rd Army to hold back the German advance until reinforcements arrived. Hopelessly outnumbered, young men laid down their lives in a battle lasting almost two weeks to obstruct the far superior German forces advancing towards Moscow. Around 3,500 cadets and their commanding officers were sent to hold up the last line of defense outside Moscow. Most of them remained there for eternity.

Viktor needs to shoot the comedy "The Girl and the Brigadier" in order to get permission to make the film "Shards" after the wonderful scenario left from his deceased screenwriter friend. Young director Yegor Myachin wants to adаpt this screenplay. Khrustalyov arranges him as a trainee to the venerable director Krivitsky for a comedy. In the same film act Khrustalev's ex-wife Inga and his young sweetheart Maryana, with whom Yegor Myachin is also in love.

Intelligence officer Viktor Bystroletov arrives in one of the countries of the oil basin under the guise of an international journalist. His goal is to establish contact with a former terrorist named Javad. It has been several years since Javad retired and disappeared in an unknown direction…

He has to train dogs to run to the enemy tanks and blow them up but from the beginning, things don’t go as planned. Doberman gets in trouble with his commanding officer. Things pile up in a big mess until Alexander meets Julbars and his beautiful handler, Dina. He learns that this dog successfully blew up German tanks without being killed. Doberman takes Julbars and uses him as an example for other K9 soldiers, developing a behavioral pattern that saves many dogs lives.
