PS Last Summer

Returning to Fårö a decade after his earlier documentary, Ingmar Bergman records the daily lives of farmers, fishermen, and families living on the island. Structured around the four seasons, the film documents labor, communal routines, and reflections on how life on Fårö has changed since the late 1960s.

Out jogging Peter discovers an ongoing rape. He intervenes and neutralizes the rapist who is later taken into custody by the police. Three years later he is on TV being interviewed about his new book about the incident. What he doesn't know is that the rapist was just released from prison and is coming after Peter and his family.

Rolf lived his whole life for his TV-show. He's neglected the people close to him year after year; he never seemed to have any time left over for his wife, his kids or his friends. One day Rolf learns that the TV-network that he so devotedly worked for is now aiming for a younger audience and his show is terminated. His life crumbles. The terrorist Fors arrested after an attack on a OPEC meeting. Shortly afterwards town minister's daughter gets kidnapped by two men who require Fors be released and that he will flight phase to Albania. SÄPO agent Olsson will handle the case.

Per is doing his military service when he finds out that his girlfriend back home in Stockholm is having an affair. He goes AWOL and tries to find a way back home. On the way he meets Hanna, the daughter of a travelling salesman who joins him on his journey.

Set in a small Swedish town, the story is centered around three best friends aged 20. Michelle, a photo model, has a drinking problem which leads to a string of one-night-stands, including sex with the hot tempered boyfriend of Anna. She has just moved in with him and is too much in love too see his faults. Petra is their clever friend who must combine being pregnant with operating her own café.

At a prom ball, Peter and Helen catch each other's eyes over the children's heads. Peter is desperate to meet Helen and follows her to Mallorca, where she plans to spend her holiday with her husband.

A single mother unable to find someone to look after her youngest son Tobben gets her older son Pingo to look after him for the day.

16-year-old Mikael is the gang leader of the infamous Fonzie gang that wreaked havoc in Stockholm in 1980. He shares a home with his mother, who is a taxi driver by profession. She is completely unaware of what her son does in the evenings. One day, he is picked up by the police right in front of her eyes and their lives change forever.
