Iron Men

Adapted from the classical 14th century novel of the same title by Luo Guanzhong, Romance of the Three Kingdoms is part historical, part legend, and part mythical – romanticises and dramatises the lives of feudal lords and their retainers, who tried to replace the dwindling Han dynasty or restore it. The focus is mainly on the three power blocs that emerged from the remnants of the Han dynasty, and would eventually form the three states of Cao Wei, Shu Han, and Eastern Wu.

Many years ago Mr. Six was a notorious gangster. That was back when there was still such a thing as honour among thieves, when criminals earned respect and maintained principles. These days Mr. Six is all but forgotten, a living relic residing in a narrow alley. One day Six's son, Xiaobo, is abducted by some spoiled punks after he scratches their precious Ferrari. Flashback to modern time, Biyun is living in New York. Her niece played by Isabella Leong, a writer, has travelled to Tibet to find out what happened to Qiushui. Through the pictures she sends back via internet, Biyun finally gets to see the familiar face once again.

When her husband hatches a plan to tear down the local historic fortress to find a legendary hidden treasure, she finds herself drawn to a gentler, more educated man who wants to preserve it.

This film tells the story of Zhang Si De, a model of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In the late period of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Yan'an was in a mass production movement. The service soldier Zhang Si De (Wu Jun) is honest, unspoken, never invites merits for doing good things, works hard and never complains, and devotes himself to the Chinese revolutionary cause.

The new year is fast approaching and middle-aged screenwriter Wang Zi Liang is feeling the pressure. He has to deal with multiple issues concerning both his work and home life, making him feel 'sad in the new year'. When his mother asks the family to return home for the holidays, Zi Liang welcomes the opportunity of a break. However, old family conflicts quickly start to resurface and only a mother's love will be able to resolve them.
