Investigator Zakharov is determined to find him, thinking he understands Friday well. Lisa, a character in the story, walks through the quiet city to return a coffee grinder.

December 30, 1941. Vyazma ('Vyazemsky cauldron') is a small detachment of Soviet soldiers, by fatal coincidence, in an unequal battle with a special unit of the Wehrmacht. But when he fails to make them understand, he realizes that Christ’s teachings may sink into oblivion without benefiting humanity. His solution is to betray Christ. “By killing a man, have I not saved a God?”

Together, the heroes have to go through a fascinating path, the routes of which lie far beyond the usual perception of reality.

Documentary-staged film monograph, a conversation about the fate of a generation, in the center of which is one of his idols — actor, director, poet and novelist Leonid Filatov. The film was shot in connection with Leonid Filatov's unfinished game picture "The Adventures of Tolik Paramonov" based on his novel "Freedom or Death" (a Soviet dissident leaves for the West and becomes a communist there). The film was put into production in 1993 at the Rossfilm studio, but a serious illness prevented the director from finishing the production. The desire to acquaint the viewer with this work was the purpose of creating this project.

The action of the film takes place in a small provincial town and is divided into four short stories connected with each other by storylines.
