Skipper Alex Grimaldi has two weaknesses: his daughter, born from a previous relationship, and, obviously, his boat. Always with a Tuscan cigar in his mouth, Fabio Testi’s sailor embarks on real seaside adventures because of his clients who are often dangerous criminals.

Karin, a Swedish music student in Rome, falls in love with Bruno, a medical student. After learning he is married, she returns to Sweden, where she meets and marries David, an American diplomat. When he is assigned to Rome, Karin’s past unexpectedly comes back into her life.

Lorenzo Fabbri is a guy who is kidnapped and imprisoned in a cave of Aspromonte. After trying every way to achieve liberation of his son, the mother Elena decides to give life to a desperate protest: enchains on the square in a Calabrian village putting up a sign saying "Free My Son." In this contemporary retelling of the Cinderella story, a feisty 18-year-old Italian-American New Yorker named Cindy is sent off to Rome with her irascible stepmother and vain stepsisters. On the way, she meets, and falls in love with, globetrotting bagpacker Mizio, who eventually turns out to be of Italian nobility. There's a fairy stand-in in the form of a spaced-out astrologer, a dance, and she even loses a shoe at one point. Care to venture a guess how it all turns out?

The film documents modern slave trade through a number of African countries, under dictatorship rule. The filming was conducted both in public places, and sometimes with the use of hidden cameras, for high impact scenes of nudity, sex, and violence - and a few surprises, as slaves made out of peregrins to Asia, and slave traders paid in traveller checks.

Faced with a broken marriage, a woman decides to try to rekindle an incestuous relationship with her younger sister, who is married to a wealthy older man.

Maya lives in Argentina and works at Fernando's restaurant, the man who raised her like a daughter, along with her mother, Ramona, who died a few years ago. Maya often performs at the restaurant and is acclaimed by everyone for her beautiful voice. She has the opportunity to participate in an important singing festival in Italy, but this provokes a very negative reaction from Fernando. Maya's real father, whom she has never met, is Italian, and he was undoubtedly a source of suffering for Ramona and Fernando. However, Maya decides to leave anyway; she cares too much about her future as a singer and doesn't want to miss this opportunity. Thus conflicts erupt and old resentments surface.
