Hamza is turning 18 and has to leave La Purísima reception centre for unaccompanied boys. Although they all arrived alone, they have found a new family in the form of the NANA dance company.

The Saharawi women face the thirst of the hamada, the curse of the desert, every day. They’ve built their refuge in a land where no one could survive before. For more than forty years they’ve been holding out and taking care of their people there. They ensure every drop of water is distributed according to the needs of each family … and they wait. But there’s an even more terrible thirst in their throats, for which they find no relief.

1970. An avalanche erased the Peruvian town of Yungay. Survivors rebuild it just a kilometer away. Huascarán, the once sacred and now feared mountain, speaks for itself. Those who remember know they should pay attenttion to it.

"Ferida arrel MMM" is a collective film around the figure of the Catalan poet Maria Mercè Marçal composed by filmmakers of different generations who deep into her life and work with the intention of reflect the construction of female identity. But isn't just a simple tribute to Mercè, is also a mirror in which the directors experience their own reflection from Marçal views and proposals. A poet, translator, teacher, feminist, intellectual, mother... crossed in the mirror for multiple (re) construct a genealogy of women in pictures. A mirror identified as a woman and artist who talks about motherhood, language, female body, memory, popular tradition, nature, art, lesbian love, disease, death.
