The Incendiary's Daughter

Pavel Čamrda works as a clerk at an administrative bureau in Malá Strana. One day as he is listening to wandering minstrels he falls in love at first sight with a charming girl in the crowd. The superior at the bureau, counsel Švarc, takes ill and Čamrda brings him to his home the official papers for him to sign. What a surprise he has when he discovers that the girl who has smitten him is the counsel's daughter Viktorka. The counsel is ill for a long spell and the entire family becomes used to Čamrda's visits.

Woman concert star seeks to connect with her adult daughter, by her former marriage to a staid industrialist who has kept the two apart since the girl was very small, and receives inadvertent help from the industrialist's just-fired employee who has fallen in love with the girl.

There she meets a young man who wants to sleep by the river after his night shift. Helena is drawn into the strange pastimes by a group of notorious loafers and water girls.

A comedy about a small student boarding house, whose quirky and energetic owner, Miss Klatovská, takes maternal care of all her tenants, selflessly helps them with their problems and experiences all their successes, student loves and life's ups and downs with them. Whether it's the failing octave student Eman's problems with Latin, the hopeless love of chemist Jožka Budil for the medic Magda Bártová, or the fraudulent sale of a rare painting, in which the medic Mirek Toman gets involved...

Old Bell, owner of the sawmill and the surrounding forests in a remote place “at the end of the world,” died twenty years ago. Since then, the down-to-earth and nature-loving Michael March has been the sawmill’s manager. Then Bell’s daughter Roberta comes to him and demands a large sum from the estate, which she plans to use to open a cabaret in the city and perform as a singer herself.

Young doctor Hájek has been looking for a job for a long time in vain. But luck has smiled on him a little - he has won a competition for the best advertising slogan, which was held by the factory owner Bárta. The prize is a stay in a luxurious mountain hotel. At the same time, Bárta is also leaving for the same winter resort, but on a whim he decides to use a false name and pretend to be a poor man. It is therefore not surprising that the hotel staff gets confused when accommodating the two guests. The poor young man receives all sorts of honors and favors, the factory owner huddles in a small room without heating. In addition, Bárta's cute daughter appears on the scene, and all sorts of complications are not long in coming.

The film, in individual episodes, captures the fate of Bedřich Smetana from 1856 until the end of his life, from his young years until the moment when, exhausted by human and artistic hardship, he sees the fulfillment of his great dream, the opening of the National Theatre.

Pavel Hora offers his friend Jiří Pulpán a place to live. When they get home, they find out that the landlord has evicted Pavel to the yard because he found a love letter from his daughter Zuzanka. So the two men arrange an apartment in the yard. When the landlord catches Jiří with his other daughter Pepička, he sends both daughters to his brother Sylvester on the farm.

She unexpectedly receives a letter from America from a certain Jonn Sam, who informs her that he is coming to Europe, where he intends to settle down. He brings her news about the inheritance that Mrs. Kateřina is to receive from his deceased uncle.

A village drama about the tragic culmination of a forced marriage. The film was financed by a Brno company, which required interventions in the generally known original. The reason for moving the location of the action and rewriting the dialogues into the appropriate dialect was the idea of ​​making the spectacular Vlčnov costumes more spectacular. Their distinctive color led the producers to the idea of ​​filming several crowd costumed scenes (the wedding) on ​​color material. However, the parts of the color copy processed abroad were not used in regular distribution. Another requirement was to emphasize the positive influence of the Catholic Church and have a more conciliatory conclusion.

Lieutenant Orloff, a recently graduated Russian officier, is making his way across the snow-covered steppes to the garrison where he is to be stationed.
