A melancholy Dom Casmurro, who writes a book to tell his vision of his own story and also to restore, in old age, the moments lived in adolescence alongside the great love of his life, Capitu, a girl who seduced him with her "hangover eyes".

Inspired on Jorge Amado's romance "Tieta do Agreste", the plot is set on the fictional city of Santana do Agreste, at Brazil's northwest, and has as main theme Tieta's life turnarounds. Twenty-five years after being chased out of town by her father Zé Esteves, she returns to her home town seeking revenge against everyone who mistreated her and laugh at her face in the past.

Dias Gomes and Marcílio Moraes' version of the soap opera of the same name by Janete Clair shown in 1970, Irmãos Coragem features as central characters João, Jerônimo and Duda, three brothers who threaten the dominance of the powerful farmer Pedro Barros, the highest authority in the fictional Coroado, in the interior of Minas Gerais, where the story is set.

A great love story, a family rivalry that spans generations: the telenovela narrates the love for the São Francisco River, which is revealed in the feelings between Maria Tereza and Santo.
