48 hours in the life of the Neugebauer family. The May weekend with a small family celebration, which was planned as peaceful and contemplative, turns out to be a kind of Rocky Horror Picture Show in Vienna's municipal housing estate. Clara Immerwahr and her husband to be Fritz Haber are both young and gifted chemists. Their struggle for acknowledgment in nationalistic Germany during World War I lead to the development and use of the first chemical weapons.

Trauma surgeon Thomas Reiter voluntarily withdraws into a secure institution because he no longer wants to face everyday life. He solves his problems in his imagination – a Western fantasy. A priest is commissioned by his worried parents to bring their son back to reality. When Thomas invites him to follow him into his Western world, the priest realizes that this escape from reality is not without its fascination...

Using original texts from Qualtinger, the two authors develop a pandemonium of 'Viennese cordiality'. Set in a municipal building, in the Prater and the surrounding streets, sausage stands, etc., characters and unerring punchlines result in an enjoyable Viennese film, written for the squad of local cabaret artists.
