Two jobless bosom buddies have a chance encounter with an Arab billionaire and his sad daughter who is in love with an Athenian singer. Will they make her laugh again? Above all, can they stop a sinister scheme behind the sheikh's back?

A man from Thessaloniki travels to Athens to punish the swindler who cheated his kind-hearted father. However, he falls in love with a girl and when she becomes pregnant, they decide to get married. When the swindler is murdered, the authorities arrest the young man as the culprit. The confession of the real murderer will free the man seven years later. His beloved is nowhere to be found, and he wanders around Syntagma Square like a vagrant. There he meets two children selling lottery tickets. The little girl is his daughter. A lucky lottery ticket will be the reason for him to find his beloved again and live happily for the rest of his life.

One day, while Grigoris is working and singing at a construction site, a conductor, Vangelis, and two bouzouki musicians happen to pass by. They listen, enchanted by his limpid voice, and suggest that he becomes a member of their orchestra. Thus, the newly-wed day laborer gets a second job at Mr. Lefteris’ night club. His wife, Marina, soon joins him at the club, and, before long, she too goes on stage, cuts capers and charms everyone. Her success, however, has a negative impact on the couple’s relationship, since Marina’s admirers as well as those of Grigoris’, turn one away from the other.

Thomas Karatoulpanis (Dinos Iliopoulos) is a naive employee at a car show in the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair. Because of his modest personality he is constantly criticised by his mother-in-law, his uncle and his boss. The only one who supports him is his wife. But the appearance of a doppelganger who buys extravagant gifts in his name causes a ruckus. Thomas is an amateur singer and participates in the Thessaloniki Song Festival winning the first prize. This is when everyone realises that there are two people who look alike.
