Chizu becomes enchanted by the book of botanical specimens that her late grandfather has left and looks for traces of her grandfather that she'd never met. The age-indeterminate nature of Chizu, who smokes, and the astonishing ending have resulted in a unique work that easily crosses many boundaries.

A new employee arrives at the tourist hotel Horizon on Chichijima in the Ogasawara Islands. He catches a glimpse of the gloomy human relationships that arise from a closed environment behind the seemingly idyllic everyday life surrounded by the rich nature of the sea and mountains. It has become a hotbed for the sprouting of tragic incidents.

Takeo Kikuchi is a steel factory worker who lives with his girlfriend Aki. One day, Kikuchi runs into an old friend named Jiro Soda, also known as "Denjiro", whom Kikuchi shares a deep secret since the day two encountered a certain “incident” in the past. It can be said the film inherits the setting of his previous work, but the intense realism exhibited in the raw chaos far exceeds the previous film and amply points to OKUDA’s future potential. Portraying the complex male character who only lives for violence, OKUDA’s talents as an actor should also not be overlooked.
