Lux, an exceptionally-gifted geek, suffers a severe humiliation from the other students as soon as he enters his prestigious engineering school. To take revenge, he will use one of his best skills, “stalking”. He hacks their cell phones and computers; including Alma’s, the object of all his desires. Lux becomes the person he always wanted to be, before being caught in his own trap.

1980. The Videotex messaging service arrives in France. From the depths of their Parisian suburbs, Simon, Toni and Stéphanie, three students, will seize this technological innovation and challenge their enmity to draw a revolutionary idea: the first erotic chat service.

Émilie lives in a world of surveillance: her camgirl work; the camera phone lingering on a crush from afar; the headset affording her a drone’s perspective. The same drone that stalks each move she makes, offering inspiration, noting rivals. An unsolicited companion is conspiring with or against her. A financially strapped transplant now living in the Paris suburbs, Émilie is thrust into a high-powered world when she is chosen for a renovation workshop with a prestigious architect. Her classmates come mostly from “filthy rich” backgrounds, like cocky Olivier, who wants Émilie as his conquest. But Émilie has shy eyes only for self-sufficient Mina, whose music builds like a “helicoid.” A drone—unlike any known model—is watching her all along waiting for her next move and paying handily for the privilege.

10pm on a summer's evening. The sun goes down over the Place de la République in Paris. Lucie and Rio embark on an "urbex", descending into the city's abandoned underground networks. The two teens share their adventure live on social media. On a subway platform, two young lawyers are on their way to join some friends. They film themselves as they wait for the train. Nora and Djibril have just made love. While he heads off to work, she meets a friend for the evening. None of them yet know it, but moments later, a terrorist attack will change their lives, linking their destinies forever. In a few moments, they are about to enter the darkness. The fiction unfolds through three simultaneous video feeds, filmed on cellphones and available to all via social media.
