Men Without Fear

Mother of a young boy, Jackie, Véra Latour asks her husband, Pierre, a famous aviator, to stop performing stunts where he risks death for pleasure. Pierre reluctantly agrees, and it is his friend Bob Deschamps who wins a trophy during a meeting. However, Vera, who never wanted to experience her first flight with her husband, allows Bob to take her up in his plane. When Pierre finds out, he immediately sets off with his loyal mechanic Robert Nourry on a long flight across the Atlantic. After hours of anxiety, Vera learns that her husband has successfully reached New York. Upon his return, she welcomes him as a victor.

Taking advantage of their uncle's absence, André and Raymond Rafet organize a New Year's Eve party at his house. The uncle returns unexpectedly, disturbs the party, threatens his nephews to disinherit them and then locks himself in his office. A few minutes later, he is found dead, poisoned.

Suzette and Jack form a very nice and rather well-matched couple. The latter is the partner of the new clown Teddy who seems to please the young lady a lot.

Zig and Puce, accompanied by their friend Alfred the penguin, break into the backstage of a fairground circus to rescue little Nénette, who is beaten by an odious character. So the three children and Alfred travel across the country.

When Monsieur Crauqual, the supervisor, is found hanging, all wonder why this rather rich person decided to kill himself. And when a pupil is found hanging too, François and his friends decide to investigate. They are certain there is a killer within the walls of Collège François 1er and determined to prevent him from going on running wild.

Ramon Novarro starred and directed this French remake of Call of the Flesh as he studios feared subtitles and dubbing techniques were primitive at the time. A student nun falls in love with a singer performing in the cafe next door to her convent.

Alois Novák (Oldrich Nový), a minor clerk in a travel agency and the husband of a dowdy housewife Marenka (Natasa Gollová), lives a run-of-the-mill, dull life. In the salon he speaks of love and the magnificence of exotic lands, which he has supposedly come to know on his wanderings abroad. In reality he has read all of this in the travel agency's brochures.
