Madwoman of God

From the gardens of Versailles to the Île-aux-Coudres, this documentary feature tells the story of Pierre Perrault's exceptional cinematic adventure. While simultaneously painting a portrait of the poet-filmmaker, the film contains a critical analysis of his work. To allow us to reflect on cinema and on man even further, an image hunter is himself hunted down to reveal his certainties and questions.

Documentary produced by the National Film Board of Canada centered on a friendly countryside gathering of four former prominent members of Front de Libération du Québec (FLQ), namely Francis Simard, Pierre Vallières, Charles Gagnon and Robert Comeau.

While her national priorities were at-risk youth, women, and Indigenous peoples, her international success came from her cultural diplomacy. 2010: the earthquake in Haiti tragically brings her back to her homeland. Michaëlle Jean: A Woman of Purpose is an intimate and sensitive portrait of the stateswoman she came to be.

French-Canadian filmmaker Jean-Daniel Lafond goes into the life of wanted terrorist David Belfield, an African American convert to Islam who was born in the United States and allegedly murdered Ali Akbar Tabatabai, a former Iranian ambassador loyal to the deposed Shah of Iran and an outspoken critic of Ayatollah Khomeini in 1980. Belfield, now known as Hassan Abdulrahman, fled to Iran following the murder and has remained there ever since. In this film, Belfield tries to explain and justify his terrorist activity. Lafond also puts forward several conspiracy theories as to who ordered Belfield to kill the former diplomat.
