The Adventures of Baby Hippopo

An animated short film that deconstructs and exposes the exhausted Soviet cliches in search of truth which is traditional for glasnost and perestroika era.

This story took place one day in winter, when snowmen in the woods were afraid that the heat radiated by the sun would bring them irreparable harm. These kind creatures just did not want to melt and decided to find the sun, urged him not to warm the earth. They did not even know how it looks like when they started their path, and then they realized all living things need it...

This film was shot as a trophy during one of the many inhuman wars. Thanks to unique means of restoration, it was possible to restore footage taken in the Stone Age.

There were three brothers, Kyi, Shchek and Khoryv, who founded Kyiv. The city swelled, craftsmen worked, builders created day-to-day the beautiful and places on the slopes. And brothers had beautyful sister Lybyd to get together with the rest of the townspeople to celebrate Midsummer. But no one thought that the upcoming feast will be irrigated with blood. The animation was created for the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv.
