An evil hunter kidnaps the mother of a small hippopotamus, but a little girl comes to his aid, and with the help of a policeman, they free the captive.

The animation is based on a Ukrainian fairy tale about an old married couple, who had no children. One day the woman asked her husband to cut down a log and put it in a cradle for a night. The old man did what she had asked him to do. Next morning, a surprise was waiting for them.

The girl Inge was good and loved... herself very much. Inge was given bread to take to her poor parents, and she, crossing a puddle and afraid to dirty her new shoes, threw the bread in the mud and stepped on it. From such a terrible act, the earth parted and swallowed her. Based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale.

But they flew farther, taking the baby away. Then suddenly he realized that he found himself far from his native house and tall trees surround him and he does not know where to go. What to do?

An old man lived with his wife, and they did not have kids. To not be bored, they took a duck found in the woods. They began to look after it, and it turned out that it was not a duck at all, but a young girl, hardworking and caring, which helped the old people to stoke and cook food. But with them, she did not shed her feathers, so they decided to find out everything by themselves.

Once there lived the greed. She looked for kids, with which she could become bigger and more powerful. Greed could not even come close to those who have shared something with friends and fed animals and birds. But when she saw a little boy who does not want to let a girl from the yard play ball, she immediately went to him and began to cleverly feed his unwillingness to part with things. Soon she had moved to live in a separate room...

They run to the little mouse, who is not afraid, but saw the fog in the big, gray, shaggy one. Do not be afraid of anything, and all fears will dissipate like fog.
