During this night at the museum, she wanders from room to room and films the enigmatic creatures she encounters - animals, works, but also the artists and accomplices she has invited. These successive apparitions compose the scenes of a surrealist film that spectators can discover in a giant projection on the façade of the museum during an exceptional evening.

"Electric Storm" celebrates the beginning of electronic music marked by the 100th birthday of the Theremin - Dorit Chrysler envisioned its setting in a “Cathedral of Science” namely at CERN, the international Nuclear Research Center at Geneva. Teaming up with Film Maker Marie Losier, “Electric Storm” was filmed (by Marie on 16mm) at the CMS collider cave of CERN in mid march.

A longtime fan of Maddin, Losier (best known for other inventive portraits of underground film icons like Tony Conrad and George Kuchar) hoped to document him as well; "I hate my voice and face," Maddin replied, and sent her Super-8 footage of his hands instead. Losier interwove the footage into her own distinct tale, shot like a surrealist 1920s silent film.
