Agnus Dei

Just after World War II, an American takes a railway job in Germany, but finds his position politically sensitive with various people trying to use him.

Two smart city girls, Angelica (12) and Lone (9), are sent on summer vacation to stay with a couple of distant old relatives in an even more distant part of Jutland. The neighbors on the large pig farm are trying to get the two old people into a nursing home so they can take over the land. The girls don't like this, so they take up the fight to help their aging hosts.

A director and screenwriter pen a script and, in the process, blur the line between fiction and reality.

Rumbling in the distance. Concentrated harp playing. A barricaded apartment. David does his best to shut out the rest of the world so he can practice in peace. A neighbor knocks his door and wants him to seek safety in the basement, but David is not interested. He believes in art, not war.

Lisa is 6 1/2 years old and goes to kindergarten. One day she gets lice. The film shows how the peers and the adult environment react.

The nurse Emma arrives for her evening shift at a closed psychiatric facility. It's a day like any other. Colleagues are out sick, patients are dealing with acute problems and Emma and her colleagues must be creative to get the through the shift in the best possible way. In only twenty minutes their trust in the system will be put to a test.
